•Chapter 16• {|Being Honest With Each Other|} •Pt.1•

Morning finally arrived, the sun's light shining through the windows and door of the restaurant, Li Mei was still up, not looking good at all, large bags that grew under her eyes and her hair a mess. She opened her eyes from the sunlight and groaned, looking tired and exhausted from last night but then she remembered....the man..his eyes, how he looked, he looked oddly familiar, his big purple eyes staring at her through his dark face, the red and black robe he worn, and...how he moved. It was like he was a ghost gliding through the streets...he was walking but, the creepiest thing was his voice, it sounded familiar too! How he sounded, how he talked...it's like she all heard it before. She tried to forget but then was startled by a hyper and awaken MK. "Hi Li!!!" The teen shouted, startling the monkey, "AGH!!!!" she screamed, breathing heavily and holding her chest a little from the sudden welcome. She then saw that it was MK and quickly fixed her composure. "O-Oh! Hi MK...sorry I screamed, ya startled me..hehehe.." she chuckled and smiled tiredly, MK smiled but then looked worried to her. "You ok Li..? You look exhausted!" He said worriedly, sitting next to her.

She gave him a reassuring smile and ruffled his hair, "I'm fine MK, just...tired, I didn't get much sleep last night..." she said, yawning and rubbing her eyes to wake herself up. MK looked at the blanket and saw that Wukong was gone, as if he left. "Huh??" He said in confusion, Li Mei looked to where he was looking and didn't see Wukong there either, or...anywhere in the restaurant. "Where's Monkey King??" Asked Li, MK responded, "I don't know! He was just here when I woke up early this morning..." MK said, still looking confused, then Li Mei got up and went to check the rest of the restaurant if he was anywhere to be found, she went to the back and heard a TV on and moving around the room, she went and peeked into the room, she gasped when she saw Wukong watching the TV, and his monkey's playing and messing around, she then went from shocked to amused, seeing him eating a bowl of peach chips and an opened box of cake on the floor, looks like the monkey's ate that one. When she went into the room for a closer look, she accidentally stepped on a banana peel and slipped back. "AAAH!!!" She shouted until she hit the floor hard, landing on her back, a loud thud and grunt of pain heard. Wukong and the monkey's flinched by the sudden sound and Wukong checked behind the couch only to see Li Mei on the floor groaning and rubbing the back of her head from the hard fall. She looked up and saw Wukong and the monkey's staring down at her. "Oh! H-Hello...monkey's and...Monkey...King.." she said nervously, smiling anxiously and blinking a bit in embarrassment, Wukong blinked back and snickered, trying not to laugh but began laughing loud and hard, holding his stomach and his tail swaying back and forth as he leaned over the couch, then without notice he fell over the couch, feeling himself going forward and quickly opening his eyes only for them to be met with the hard wooden floor and then panicking. "AUGH!!!-" he screamed while waving his arms frantically, his face then hitting the floor hard and everything going silent, his arm twitching and looking limp. Li Mei gasped loudly from the display and quickly got up to help him, "Oh no! M-Monkey King!!! Are you ok?! Do you need medical attention?!" She asked frantically trying to make sure he was ok. The other monkey's then went down to him, one landing onto his back and head, ruffling through his hair for any bugs. Another poking him for any response and the rest being by him. Li then began to panic, holding her messy hair and beginning to walk back and forth muttering the words, "Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, OH NO!" she said worried and panicked. Then she heard a groan and gasped, quickly looking at Wukong and seeing him move a little, his arm raising himself up and him grunting and then sitting himself down while rubbing his head, the monkey's backing away but then going closer to him. "Ugh...what the heck just happened..???" He asked while looking confused. "Uhm...you...fell?" Li Mei responded, looking nervous and sweating a bit while flicking the banana peel off his head. "Oh, also how did you get back here? It was too quiet for me to not sense you coming in here!" Wukong asked, she went ahead and told him the truth. "I saw you and the monkey's watching TV together, it was kinda cute so I wanted to get a closer look...buuuut I fell and then YOU fell..hehe.." she said smiling in embarrassment from him seeing her in such a state. Wukong snickered and laughed a little. "Really? Wow! I guess karma got me that time, I shouldn't have laughed but, I couldn't resist!" he said chuckling, a monkey leaping onto his shoulder. Li Mei was in awe when she the monkey's and how they was playing around and was with the Monkey King watching TV, it was adorable. "Aww..well, I can see that you must've been enjoying your shows when you was back here, not to mention these little cuties!" She said hesitantly patting a monkey on the head until it cling and held onto her arm and leaped onto her shoulder, making her chuckle. Wukong was surprised but watched in awe too.
