•Chapter 5• {|A Creepy Encounter|} •Pt.1•

I'm town, Li Mei ran more, sprinting past shops and almost reaching the end of the town where Tang said where MK was. When she soon made it to the end of town like Tang said, she began to look for MK and the other 2. "MK???" She shouted, "SAMMY???" She shouted again, after looking for the 3, she began to worry, until she heard a familiar group of voices near by the other side of the shops. She knew what the voices were and quickly ran to the other side to see who it was, it was them! Li Mei smiles brightly, happy to see the 3 people she missed. "Guys!!!" They all heard, stopping they're conversations and looking around confusingly, but then MK spotted a familiar figure at the end of the street, it was Li Mei! MK gasped in shock and patted Mei's shoulder repeatedly. "Guys look! It's Li Mei!!!" The young boy shouted, alerting the two and quickly looking in his direction, seeing the young girl in front of them. "LI MEI!!!" They all shouted, Sammy going to her and hugging her tightly, making her laugh and cough a bit due to his muscles crushing her a little, but after missing her best buds for so long, she didn't mind it. Mei ran to greet her, but MK was so excited he sprinted to her and hugged her, "Li Mei! We missed ya buddy! We didn't know that you was gonna be in town!" The boy spoke, making Li Mei giggle. "Yeah but finally I convinced my grandpa to let me come to town! I missed you guys!" The young monkey spoke, Mei quickly wrapped her arm around her shoulders and held up her phone into the air. "SELFIIIIIE!" The girl shouted, taking a pic of the two, the flash making Li Mei's eye's go wide and blurry a bit and she quickly wiped her eyes from the flash. "So Li Mei, wanna go shopping?!" The two young kids asked her with excitement, making her blink and think for a bit.

"Hmmmm..sure! Why not!" She yelled with enthusiasm, the two kids jumped up in the air and grabbed Li Mei's hands leading her to a shop to go to. Sammy following behind, with his cat on his shoulder. When they soon reached a good shop, MK saw that the shop owner looked oddly familiar, Mei was just distracted by the snacks and various items to choose from, Sammy was looking for veggies to cook with and cat food for his kittens. "Why Hello there kids? Wanna buy something from my shop?" The man spoke, his voice also sounded oddly familiar, MK was a bit confused, trying to connect the dots in his head but was interrupted by Li Mei responding to the shop owner, "Yeah! Me, Mei and MK would like to buy some things plz!" The young monkey shouted, smiling with excitement and hopping in one spot, so was Mei, only MK looked a bit confused at the man. The shop owner looked exactly at Li Mei, convincing her to buy an item, his eyes beginning to show more through the shadows in the shop. "So, what do you want buy? I have various items and stuff for 3 little kids- I mean 2 little kids and woman like you, to choose from." said the shop owner. MK looked around and saw a Monkey King plushie, him gasping loudly by the sight of it. "Can I have the plushie plz?!!" Asked MK, him looking and sounding excited to the core, the shop owner just chuckled and gave it to him. "Here Kid, it's all yours! And Of course it's free.." he said, MK was overloaded with joy, him jumping around and around while Mei and Li Mei was still deciding on what to buy.

Li Mei looked around more, trying to find an item good enough for her satisfaction, but then she saw a snow globe, it having a cute little tree and snowman inside of it while little snowflakes spun around and around inside, she HAD to get it. "May I have the snow globe plz?" She asked kindly to the shop owner. The man chuckled again, admired by the young monkey's kind gesture, "The snow globe? Oh why yea ya can! All my items are free young lady, here.." he said, handing the girl the snow globe, her eyes glowed by the glowing light of the globe, her getting dazed and stuck into the spinning of the snow inside, she smiled and looked at the shop owner. "Thank you sir!" She said, smiling more. "No problem kid! Just doing my job..." He said back. He then heard a loud clanging sound on the counter and looked down at it, seeing 3 coins on it. "Here sir..it's not much but it's all I have! Thanks for giving me the item, I decided to pay as a sign of my gratitude!" said Li Mei, the man looked shocked a bit and confused, he then started thinking, "This girl is really what Kenji described her..no wonder he loved her so much..so much that I was casted out because of my abilities...to keep her safe..." he was stuck in his thoughts until he snapped out of it by Mei shouting to get a plastic green sword from the string. "Uhhh sir???? You ok??" Asked MK, the shop owner immediately shook his head, adjusting himself and tried to act as if nothing was wrong. "Y-Yeah! It's on the house kid! It's all yours.." he spoke, letting the girl grab the sword and play fight with MK with it, the two going to Sammy while enjoying they're items.

Li Mei gave the shop owner one more thank you before turning around and walking back to Sammy. Leaving the shop owner thinking, "She..she was so kind..no wonder Kenji was so stuck up on protecting her...if only I could get close enough, maybe, just maybe, she could get on my side...." then a quiet mischievous chuckle came from the shop owner, his shadows emerging from behind him in the darkness with they're faces smiling crookedly, but then he snapped out of it by hearing Kenji coming near the shop, he immediately fixed his gestures before he came around. "Sir! Have you seen my granddaughter?!" Asked the old monkey, the shop owner shook his head quickly trying not to loose his cover, "uhm..no! No I have not, she went..hmmmmmm, down there at the end of town!" said the shop owner, his voice sounding oddly familiar to Kenji, making him feel suspicious of him just a bit. Kenji squinted at the man for a moment, making the man sweat a bit and smiles awkwardly, until Kenji heard Li Mei's voice at the end of the street, quickly, he called out to her and rushed away to find her, leaving the man alone.

"Phew! That old fool has NO idea what's coming to him..hehehehe..!" the shop owner spoke, vanishing into the darkness of the shop. Meanwhile, the 4 was looking around for more stuff to shop for, going from shop to shop to admire the Knick-Knacks they could buy, excited to explore. MK on the other hand was very suspicious of the shop owner they met, of how he looked at Li Mei, him looking creepy and his voice sounding oddly familiar to a certain monkey he had met once before, he couldn't put it hand on what was going on but just ignored his thoughts as he walked with the 2 other girls and Sammy down the street. "Hey MK! What did you get???" asked Li Mei, snapping the boy out of his thoughts, "oh! I got a monkey king plushie!" said the boy, Li Mei gasped by the sight of it, her eyes sparkling at the doll, "Wow MK! Lucky you!" said the young monkey, with her smiling and admiring her friend's item. Kenji ran around from shop to shop, asking the shop owners where his granddaughter was, only for an unsatisfied answer at every question. "No..where is she..she's in danger I know it!" Kenji thought, thinking of all the things that could happen to her in these streets, and what's worse, her having an encounter with the monkey he tried to protect her from. He had to find her, he HAD to, before she ends up missing or worse, and besides, the person he was just talking to, was Macaque in disguise, missing the complete threat that he wanted his granddaughter to avoid.

Li Mei walked with her friends for a bit longer but then realized that the sun was setting and she had to get the kids home, she hasn't realized until now! "Oh no! It's almost sundown! I promised Pigsy and Tang that I could bring MK home! Not to mention I told my grandpa I would be home by sundown! I gotta hurry!" She thought. She started to slowly panic and tapped Sammy on his arm, "Hey Sammy!" asked the girl, Sammy looking at her with a smile, "What is it Li Mei???" asked Sammy, "Uhhhh...it's almost sundown and I promised Pigsy and Tang that I would bring MK back home!" said the young girl, Sammy looked surprised but understood, giving her a small nod, "Alright then! Listen, I know a shortcut back to Pigsy and Tang! just past some alleyways, hit a right, and go down the street to the left and you'll be there" said Sammy, Li Mei nodded quickly and went to MK telling him that he needed to be home by sundown, MK whines and complained, wanting to stay out for a bit longer, and to explore more of the shops around them. "But whyyyyy...I wanna shop some moooore.." said the boy, "I know MK..but I promised Tang and Pigsy that I'd get you home exactly by sundown!" said Li Mei, MK soon sighed and agreed and said goodbye to Sammy and Mei running with Li Mei back home, passing a few shops and soon reaching the alleyways and small houses near by, but...little did they know...they was definitely not alone in those streets, a shadow like figure crouching on a rooftop, watching over them as they ran, having his eyes on Li Mei, chuckling a bit ant vanishing into a dark purple mist. MK heard the chuckles and looked back, seeing nothing there, looking a bit scared and uncomfortable by the dark alleyways they pasted, uneasy around the atmosphere, not to mention that it was getting dark, it was scary when dark around these streets..

Hopefully they can get to home..before Macaque gets to them..

P.S, sorry for erasing chapter 5 and 6, I thought of redoing it since I felt like that the battle wasn't part of the story but I promise there's more to come! Don't worry!
