THE FOLLOWING MORNING, Luna awoke to banging on her door, and as she groggily stretched, her hand flung out instinctively, causing the door to fly open with a sudden force. Bella, who had been on the other side, stumbled backward with a yelp, falling to the floor. Luna shot up from her bed, her heart racing not just from the sudden movement, but from the fear that Bella might have seen her use her power.

"Morning to you too," Luna said with a nervous chuckle, reaching out to help Bella up.

"Hardy har har," Bella grumbled, dusting herself off. "The only reason I came in here is because someone's honking outside, and it's annoying me." With that, Bella wiped her eyes and left the room, leaving Luna to breathe a sigh of relief.

She made her way to the window, scratched her hair through her bonnet, and froze when she saw Edward leaning casually against his car, a smirk on his lips as he looked up at her. For a moment, she felt a warmth spread through her, but it was quickly overtaken by embarrassment as she realized she was still in her bonnet and pajamas. She shot him a playful death glare before retreating to get dressed.

When she finally made it downstairs, she barely had time to tell Bella she was catching a ride before she was out the door, her heart pounding with each step as she practically ran to Edward.

"Took you long enough," he teased, hands in his pockets as she approached. "I thought you'd never come out."

Luna gasped dramatically. "First of all, we've already pre-established that you do not see me pre-hair and skincare routine." She gave him a mock glare. "And second of all, if you hadn't said that, I might've hugged you."

Edward stepped closer, his smirk softening into something more tender as he moved to stand behind her, his hands resting lightly on her waist. His presence was intoxicating, and she fought the urge to smile as she felt his breath warm against her ear.

"Fine," she said, finally giving in with a small smile. "But only if you say sorry."

He rolled his eyes but complied, "Sorry."

Luna turned in his arms, her hands coming up to rest on his shoulders as she leaned in close, her lips brushing against his ear. "You still owe me candy," she whispered before slipping out of his grasp and heading for the passenger seat, leaving Edward standing there, astonished.

"That wasn't part of the deal," he called after her.

"It is now!" she retorted, sliding into the car with a playful grin.
