A FEW DAYS PASSED; Luna sat in her room, twirling a pen absentmindedly as her eyes drifted over to the calendar on her desk. A big red circle marked March 13th, with the words "Baseball with the Cullens" scrawled inside. Her phone buzzed, dragging her out of her thoughts.

Luna sighed, closed her phone, and began getting dressed. After moisturizing her hair, she headed downstairs.
Downstairs, the house hummed with quiet activity. Bella lounged on the couch, eyes glued to the TV, while Charlie meticulously cleaned his guns at the kitchen table. Luna walked over to the refrigerator, grabbed a beer, and set it down in front of Charlie.
"Hey, got you another one," Luna greeted, leaning on the table.
Charlie looked up briefly, acknowledging her with a nod as he continued to work on his gun. "Thanks."
Luna hesitated, tapping her fingers nervously against the tabletop. Finally, she blurted out, "I have a date with Edward Cullen."
It was the first time Luna had mentioned Edward to Charlie, and the weight of the revelation hung in the air. She had been living with the Swans for some time now, and while they weren't related, their bond had become like that of a father and daughter. Discussing boys with Charlie felt strange, almost like crossing a boundary she wasn't sure she should.
Charlie's eyes flickered with something—concern, curiosity, maybe a mix of both. He placed the cleaning stick on the table and glanced over at Bella, who was watching the interaction with a keen interest.
