Hanging my head over the railing beside the road, I continue to throw up onto the ground. Once there was nothing left, I drag myself back to the car where Sophia was laying down in the backseat- carrying a fever of her own.

I sit in the passenger seat, making sure to lock the door before leaning over and gripping my stomach tightly as the sharp pains continue.

The illness that Sophia and I shared started last night once we were getting settled in the car. First, it was just feeling really tired, then nausea, and throwing up. Sophia was the one to check my head, saying I had a fever. As I felt her forehead, hers was the same.

It was a restless, sleepless night inside the car when the sun rose, the pains only seemed to get worse.

"When do you think they are coming?" Sophia asks weakly, holding her arm over her eyes.

"Soon I-" I cut myself off when I realized I was nearing that 'hope' word.

I pull myself further down in the seat, pulling the blanket closer around me because despite the sweat dripping from my face, I was still shivering.

"Soon," I repeat.

--

The banging on the windows slowly pulled me from my sleep, not enough for me to move as I felt disoriented.

"Oh my god! Hana! Hana!" someone shouts, hitting the window harder.

"Hana! Open the door!" someone else adds.

"Back up," a third person says.

I feel my eyes flinch as the driver side window shatters, weakly rolling my head in the direction of it.

"Hana! Wake up!" the second person begs.

The driver door opens and someone crawls inside, placing their hand to my forehead.

"She's burning up," they inform.

The person reaches past me, unlocking the door on my side before the other person is opening it.

"Hana? Hana, sweetie can you hear me?" the person at my door asks, moving my hair out of my face.

I feel their hands desperately feeling my arms and legs before announcing, "No bites or scratches."

"God," a voice sighs.

"Hana?" the person asks again, patting my cheek with a wet towel.

I force my eyes to open, though it was difficult.

"Oh, thank god!" Andrea gasps, as she was in front of me.

The relief was certain- the group had found us. But, my head pounded and the light felt like it was burning my eyes so I close them again. The comfort of the wet towel Andrea kept on my head was heaven sent.

"Daryl, Hana is awake," Andrea informs.

"We need to get her to Hershel," T-Dog decides, his voice close as well.

"Yeah, soon as they get back with him, maybe," Daryl scoffs.

"Either way, she can't be out in this heat any longer," Andrea reminds.

"Andrea," T-Dog voices.

Andrea backs away from me and I squint my eyes to look again, seeing T-Dog kneeling beside me.

"Hey, there," he smiles.

"Sophia?" I ask, trying to look to the back.

T-Dog's eyes turn sad, looking up to Andrea who cringes and turns away.
