I silently watched as Maggie and Daryl left on a run.

I silently followed Hershel as he led Beth, Carl, and I inside- the baby in Beth's arms.

I silently sat at one of the tables as Hershel tries to cleanse T-Dog's dried blood off of me with a wash cloth.

Silence.

"Hey, I'm gonna try and find Rick. He's still in there and shouldn't be alone. Can you..?" Glenn whispers to Beth.

"I'll keep an eye on her," Beth assures.

"Thank you," he nods, patting her shoulder before going into the tombs.

Beth forces a smile as she walks over to me, "Hey."

I don't say anything, pointing up to our cell.

"You gonna go lay down?" she asks and I nod.

"Okay. if you need anything, I'll be right here," she smiles, momentarily caressing my arm in comfort.

I stand up, carrying my bat with me as I go toward the stairs. Once I spot Beth leaning over the pallet that held Lori's baby, I duck under the stairs, going the route I'd walked with T-Dog just hours ago.

--

I didn't have a flashlight to guide my way so I kept my hand not holding the bat on the new gun I got from our supplies.

Dead walkers were like a trail through the tombs to Rick and Glenn.

"Rick, why don't you just come on out with me?" Glenn offers quietly.

Rick doesn't say anything- silence coming from him as well.

I sneak into one of the empty rooms, peering around the door, seeing Glenn carefully reaching out to Rick. As soon as Glenn makes contact with Rick, Rick snaps- shoving Glenn against the wall.

Glenn grunts in pain from the force of Rick's actions and a part of me flinches, my hand clutching my gun tighter.

Glenn whispers to Rick carefully before Rick huffs and roughly jerks Glenn off the wall, shoving him down the hall. Glenn catches himself, stumbling over until he frowns and walks away, keeping his eyes on Rick. Once Glenn is away, Rick continues down the hall.

As he turns the corner to the hall I occupy, I step out from my room, lifting my gun to point at Rick.

His eyes show no emotion, not a single sound coming from him as he looks from the gun to me. I don't say anything either, keeping my aim on his chest.

When his eyes flicker back to the gun, it's as though his gaze makes my hands move as I pull the aim to his head.

"You gonna pull the trigger?" he asks, his voice raw.

"Are you going to do me like you did my brother?" I ask, my own voice broken.

Rick takes a single step back and I lower my gun, placing it back in my holster.

"He doesn't know you're down here," Rick figures out.

"You gonna tell him?" I ask.

Rick glances to the way Glenn left and slowly shakes his head.

"Why are you down here?" he asks, side stepping me and continuing down the hall.

"Why are you?" I throw back.

"I just have to be," he brushes off.

"Me too."

--

I wasn't sure how long Rick and I kept going through the prison clearing walkers. But, we made it to a room that made Rick's eye grow even colder.

"What is this?" I ask, trailing my finger across one of the large boxes.
