When the sun rose the next morning, Sophia and I found a creek.

Though it probably wasn't the smartest decision considering our current predicament, we indulged in the discovery.

"I miss the quarry," Sophia remarks as she brushes her hands through the deep water.

It was over waist high, but she was still able to stand.

"Me too," I agree, swimming a circle around her.

Sophia laughs, turning to watch me go around her, "Why do you like the water so much, Hana?"

I stop my laps, keeping myself floating rather than standing like her.

"Is it because of those haenyeo women you talked about?" she asks.

"My dad used to take me to the island every year before school. But, I like water before then," I answer.

"Why?" she wonders.

"I don't know. I just remember always liking water. I was going to swim team this year's school but.." I shrug.

Sophia nods, understanding, "I always liked drawing. I guess me drawing is like you to water."

"Maybe," I agree with a smile.

"Your dad.. Is he rich or something?" she suddenly questions.

"Rich?" I repeat, the word unfamiliar.

"Like.. A lot of money," Sophia explains, rubbing her fingers together.

"Ah.. buja," I understand.

"Is he? Are you?" she asks.

"I think so," I decide, "He works for big chaebol at home. Big.. work place."

"What does he do?"

"It's like sales for TV. Idols, actors, TV people.. Their company buy from my dad's company. It's from stages to buildings for TV shows," I try to explain.

"Your dad worked with famous people?" Sophia gasps, eyes wide.

"Mm," I nod.

"Did you meet any of them?"

"Mm," I nod again, "When big sales go, dad would bring us to the concerts of people he worked with. For actors, we could go to the.."

I fight, trying to find the right words, "The place they show movies. Lot of cameras."

"Oh my god," Sophia huffs out a laugh, "All this time, you've been someone like that. I never would have guessed."

"Why?" I wonder, tilting my head.

"Because, you're Hana that killed a geek to save me last night. Not Hana that went to red carpets and met famous people."

"But, I'm not famous. My dad just worked for those that are," I remind.

"Still cool," Sophia shrugs.

We begin swimming back to the bank, sitting together on the edge of the water.

"And you?" I ask, nodding to her.

"Oh.. No, we were far from rich. Dad spent most of his money on beer and because of that, we could hardly keep up with bills. He wouldn't let mom have a job, so she couldn't make money for us. Just him. So, he said he was the one making the money, he could spend it however he wanted."

Barely keeping up, I still nod to support her.

She reaches to her bag, picking up her doll and glaring at it.
