Surprisingly enough, it was a crowd around my bed as Pete stitched up the wound in my side after taking the glass out.

"And done.. Might I say, you were my best patient today," Pete compliments with a smile.

He turns to Glenn and Maggie, holding out a bottle of medicine.

"One of these every four hours. It'll fight the infection and keep any fever away," he explains.

"Thank you," Glenn nods.

Pete smiles again, giving a look to Jessie who was sat by my bed as well before trailing to Tara's bed to help her and her injury. Taeyang helps me lay back down, caressing my forehead with his thumb, the bandage around his hand only slightly itchy from where Pete cleaned his knuckles that were busted open.

"Okay?" he asks.

"Mm," I nod, "I'm okay."

"You scared the shit out of me," Glenn scolds.

I look to my hands, pursing my lips. I couldn't lie that I wasn't scared during that either. But, I also couldn't give an apology when I wasn't sorry. They were at risk and I saw an out to save us all- I'd do it again if I had to.

"Deanna said she'll need to talk to you later and get your statement on everything that happened," Maggie speaks up, "She's already got Glenn, Nicholas, Taeyang, Eugene, Tyreese, and Noah's. She just needs to talk to you and Tara next when you're both up for it."

I agree to the terms, though I was sure our story was probably different than whatever Nicholas spewed out to her.

"How's Daniel?" I ask.

"Stable," Taeyang nods, "Ben, Beth, Noah, and Rosita have been keeping an eye on him."

"Where's Nicholas? What happened after?" I question.

"He's like us. None of us from the run are allowed to have weapons or go outside the walls until Deanna gets things figured out. If you mean right after everything.." Glenn trails off.

"Hyung has a hell of a right hook," Taeyang nods to Glenn, "Out cold with two hits."

"And someone else doesn't know when to stop," Glenn challenges, raising his eyebrows to Taeyang.

Taeyang looks to his hands that were bandaged, easing them below the bed out of view.

"He wasn't like that before.." Jessie sighs.

"Aiden.. When we were trying to get him.." Glenn begins but shakes his head, "Never mind."

I knew what he was talking about- I could remember that much. Aiden and Nicholas have left people behind in the past that got killed because of their wrong doings. Just as I had thought. Just as I had told Deanna.

"I wanna talk to Deanna," I decide, trying to sit up.

"Hey, you should-" Glenn starts to argue.

"I want to see Deanna," I state, glancing to him, "I need to."

"Not yet," Maggie says, making me pause, "She'll come to you. Just give it some time."

"Can you figure out how much time?" I ask.

Maggie nods, patting my leg and kissing Glenn's cheek as she stands, "I'll find out."

Maggie leaves, determination in her eyes. Taeyang lightly pushes my shoulder so I lay back down, his hand caressing all the way from my shoulder to my hand where he holds on with a smile sent my way.

"Taeyang," Glenn speaks, making Taeyang sit up straighter.

"Hyung," Taeyang nods.

"We should talk," he nods his head to the door, "Outside."
