"I'm not mad," Glenn swears.

"Your ears turn red when you're mad," I point out.

He stops his pacing back and forth in front of my bunk, bringing both hands to the tips of his ears. An airy laugh escapes my nose as I smile down at him.

"Quiet," he scolds, "This is a lecture, you're not supposed to talk."

I bring my fingers to my mouth, zipping my lips closed. Glenn scoffs, dropping his hands to his side and shaking his head.

Completely contradicting his own words, Glenn asks-

"You were safe?"

"I was with Rick the whole time. I saw what happened between you two. But, he calmed down a bit after," I nod.

He sighs hand coming up only to drop it back down, "Fine."

"You're being lenient today," I muse.

"I know all that's happened hasn't been easy. I want you safe and happy again. I know you need your space sometimes, too. So, if you being with Rick for a couple hours helped you, I just have to accept it. I can't change what's already happened."

His words of repetition from my own tug a glimmer of a smile out of me. He remembered- it made it happy to know he listened so intently to my words.

"Thank you, oppa," I nudge my foot against his shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah," he brushes off, lightly backhanding my shoe.

"Maggie and I are going on a run here in a bit. I just thought you should know," he informs, "Daryl is leading Carl and Oscar to clear out some other rooms. It shouldn't all be on Rick even though he thinks it is."

"Can I go?" I ask.

"No," he denies.

"I'll sit in the backseat with my music and not interrupt your date," I stick my tongue out at him.

Glenn rolls his eyes, resting his arms on my bunk and looking up at me, "Why do you want to go?"

I kick my feet back and forth, shrugging softly, "I just want to be away from here for awhile. A lot happened here. Want to go somewhere else for awhile."

At my answer, Glenn frowns, reaching over to pat my knee.

"All right," he agrees, "Get your bag packed."

--

I did just as I promised, my headphones on rather than my earbuds as I rest my head on the window in the backseat.

I was midway through one of my favorites when the vehicle came to a stop. I frown, glaring at the back of Glenn's seat. Unwillingly, I pause my music, stuffing the player in my bag.

"Did you have to cut off KARA?" I ask, opening my door.

"We could hear it," Glenn laughs, "Could you have it any louder?"

"KARA is worth a busted ear drum," I shrug.

"It sounded catchy," Maggie comments with a smile.

"She's on my side," I elbow Glenn's side.

Glenn chuckles as I retrieve my bat from the floorboard, closing the door after.

As we round the car, I stop in my tracks as I look to the buildings. One was a baby store, the other a music store.

Glenn and Maggie trade a look and Maggie smiles as she walks away to begin checking the area.

"We mapped this place out after we saw it in a phone book," Glenn explains, nodding his head to the music store, "Come on."
