NATALIE
I didn't even know what music was playing in my AirPods a few seconds ago. I was not outside to listen to the music. I wanted to isolate myself from the sounds around me, to break away from the terrible world I was in. Very few people could be seen in the park at this time of the morning, especially during these months. There were people like me who tried to motivate themselves to run a few meters or walk a lot, raising the volume of music to the end. When the cold sweat fell on my back between my hair, I felt like I was under ice-cold water. If I ran a little harder, I would fall to the ground. I stopped for a moment, put my palms on my knees, and bent down. I took a deep breath and tried to control my heart rate. What would happen next? I would run as fast as I could, I would stop breathing again, I would fall on my knees and breathe. Then again, again, again. Like a mouse released into a maze, I was tired of constantly running and thinking of ways out. When I opened my eyes, I was embarrassed to see a young woman in a long, slender, gray sports suit pass by me with strange eyes. I thought about all this out loud, I thought. I continued to run in the opposite direction the get away from the girl who probably thinks that I am out of my mind.
What did that mean? If he did not go to the countries where he had to go for work, then why did he stay away from me for a few days? After all, I saw him every time in video calls in different hotel rooms. Where could Paul be? Maybe he something was hiding from me something he had to keep secret about his family company? Or he had a secret about himself. Suddenly I stopped. I pulled the headphones neatly and put them in my pocket. It could be. I took the phone out of my pocket and looked at the clock. There had to be a way to investigate this.
"Hotel rooms," I say out loud. Immediately I look around to be sure whether someone heard me or not. Yes. I was losing my mind.
It was very difficult to remember what the hotel's rooms looked like. I couldn't think of a special design that I could remember. But I had to tell Ian something about it. At least it would not be difficult for them to find out which hotels have access.
Maybe Paul did not go to hotels alone, and now he is hiding next to those with whom he went to those hotels?!
