After Maria discovered that the girls were not at their school, she drove straight to Mr. Cruz's house. She called him several times, but he didn't pick up his phone. He was at the hospital with Penelope and didn't want to answer in front of Ms. Cruz. Maria panicked and drove to the hospital to find Mr. Cruz. She burst through the doors leading into Penelope's room.
"What? I thought that you were dead!" Ms. Cruz gasped.
"What are you doing here?" Mr. Cruz asked.
"Someone took them!" Maria cried.
"Took who, what is going on?" Mr. Cruz questioned.
"Why are you in my daughter's room?" Ms. Cruz demanded as she glared at Maria.
"Isabella please, not now!" Mr. Cruz yelled.
"Don't yell at me!" Ms. Cruz snarled.
"The girls, someone's got them. I went to pick them up, but the school said that they couldn't find them," Maria said, dropping to her knees in tears.
"What girls?" Ms. Cruz asked as Mr. Cruz picked up his cell phone.
"I need to report my daughters missing. They are seven and four years old. I'm at the hospital in room 202 with my older daughter. Please hurry," Mr. Cruz said to the 911 dispatcher.
"Daughters? You have other children?!" Ms. Cruz exclaimed .
Ms. Cruz launched forward, hitting Mr. Cruz in his face. He lost his balance and fell to the floor. Blood was gushing everywhere, but lucky for him he was already in the hospital. Ms. Cruz didn't stop hitting him, even with blood spilling out of him. Cathy rushed into the room and called for security. Jules made it in the room before the security officers, so she and Cathy pried Ms. Cruz off of Mr. Cruz. Ms. Cruz kept screaming, "You bastard" as Maria stayed on the floor crying. The security guards finally made up to the room and escorted Ms. Cruz out of the hospital. She was still screaming, "You bastard" all the way down the hall. Shortly after that, the police arrived to take a statement.
"It's okay officers, the fight is over and I am sure that Mr. Cruz does not want to press charges. You can leave now, sorry for wasting your time," Jules said, trying to push the officers out of the room.
"Fight? Ma'am we are here to take a missing persons report," Officer Carmichael clarified.
"Missing person? King is not missing. He disappears when he is hurt, he'll be back," Jules replied.
"King? The report is for two missing girls," Officer Barrett explained.
"Yes officers, in here! We would like to report our daughters missing. They are seven and four; their names are Esmeralda and Josefina Cruz. We last saw them when we dropped them off at school. It was a new school; we were just trying it out to see if we could live here full time. You have to find them," Mr. Cruz said.
"Sir, how did you get hurt?" Officer Barrette asked.
"His wife beat his ass for having an affair with his mistress all of these years," Jules stated.
"Jules Archangel!" Beverly said as she arrived in the room, stunned by the words that were coming out of Jules's mouth.
"I do not want to press charges; I just want you to find my daughters," Mr. Cruz pleaded.
"You better not press charges," Jules snarled.
"Jules, not now!" Beverly yelled.
