The next day, King had finished his first task which was to create a drone attached to a powerful weapon. He decided to test it out and make sure that he could use his secure internet connection without being detected. Before he could explore his creation, Aleandra and Cathy interrupted him.
"Nice, I like the design especially! Way better than any of the other drones I've had made," Aleandra praised.
"Wait, if you have other drones why do you need me?" King asked.
"Isn't it obvious? No? Well, okay I'll enlighten you. You were able to kill hundreds of people undetected because of your technology. I don't know anyone who could do that. Now that I've cleared the air my friend, let's see it," Aleandra answered.
"We are not friends," King glared.
"What do you say; let's get this show on the road," Cathy interjected trying to keep the two of them from killing each other.
A man in a lab coat entered the room and took the drone from King. He started studying it as if it was a fake.
"What are you doing?" King asked.
"Relax; he's just making sure that you are not double crossing us," Cathy said.
The man plugged the drone up to a USB device and began scanning its programming. In a perfectly air conditioned room, a drop of sweat fell from King's face as he watched nervously. A few minutes later, the man approved the drone and claimed he could not find any back doors. Pleased, Aleandra walked up to King and shook his shoulders.
"Well done!" Aleandra smiled.
"Get off me!" King said, shrugging off Aleandra's hands.
"Alright, I was just being friendly," Aleandra said.
"Well I'm not friendly to kidnappers," King snarled.
"Ouch, that hurts my feelings," Aleandra frowned.
Cathy handed the man in the lab coat a piece of paper and told him to program the drone to fly to the coordinates on the paper. She instructed him to fire on her command. Aleandra followed the man leaving Cathy and King alone.
"Are there going to be any casualties at the park, Cathy, or whatever your name is?" King asked.
"You have to stop being so angry with him, he is crazy. You are going to aggravate him," Cathy explained.
"You think I care? I know that I am dead either way; there is no out for me. Now answer the question!" King yelled.
"Maybe!" Cathy said before walking out of the room, leaving King alone.
King allowed his body to drop on the couch as he hoped his sister and Officer Carmichael were able to do something. It's not like he suddenly wanted to be a good person, he just didn't want to die at the hands of the Russians and he wanted to protect his sisters. He also knew that helping them made him a terrorist and they did not care who they killed, his family included. No matter how much he disliked his father and mother, he didn't want any harm to come to them. He knew that he was twisted for selfishly protecting his own, when so many couldn't do the same for their loved ones when he killed them.
Meanwhile, Officer Carmichael began running the names Penelope gave him through the system. He learned a lot about Smirnoff, but when it came to Elena White it was as if she didn't exist. The next think he knew, he was being called into Sgt. Greg's office. Sgt. Greg got up with an angry look on his face and slammed his office door.
