After Penelope ran out of the house, King grabbed his bag of tricks, darted out the back door, and climbed the fence. King, much like Penelope, didn't want to face anyone. He had a lot of aggression that he needed to burn off. He ran until he couldn't run anymore. He ended up in the woods behind a gentleman's house. The man just happened to be outside refilling his deer feeder. All of a sudden, the man froze when he heard a loud buzzing sound. The man tried to find where the buzzing sound was coming from, but the next thing he knew was he had been shot. The man fell to his knees, lifeless almost immediately. Then King continued his run through the woods. He paused when he realized that he was passing a glass house with the owners lounging on the back porch near their pool. King crunched down not wanting to be seen by anyone.

The couple lying by the pool suddenly sat up, searching for a loud buzzing sound. When they finally spotted what it was, two bullets pierced through their chests. The couple fell back into their chairs out cold. King stood and ran some more. He thought if he just kept running he would burn off all his anger. By now, he had made it about seven miles from the Lake House. He paused when he heard gun shots as hunters were in the woods hunting animals. He crouched down in fear of being shot or seen. The hunters continued shooting until they heard a loud buzzing sound. Once the buzzing came close, the two men were shot several times dropping them to their knees. One of the men fell on his weapon firing it and blowing his head off in the process. It was such a boisterous and violent sound that it made King fall backwards, landing on his hip. With an increase in adrenaline, King sprung to his feet, racing through the branches and breaking them with his speed.

King slowed his race when he discovered a camping ground. He walked out of the woods for a second to find something to drink. Dying of thirst, he stole a canteen that was sitting outside of the first tent he walked nearby. He returned to the woods with the canteen to finish the rest of water. He crunched down behind some trees far enough for no one to see him, but close enough for him to see them. There were seven tents all filled with either a family of four or a couple. King watched as the people looked so happy, but was completely unaware of the danger that lurked around them. He felt his rage rising again, but fixed his poster as the buzzing sound flew over the tents. Several shots were fired, killing twelve people, including children. Only seconds went by before King got up and continued running. He put the canteen in his bag in case he was able to find water somewhere else.

Somewhere in a far distance behind him, King could hear low sounds of a helicopter. This meant that the police were searching the woods for a suspect. King picked up his speed, not wanting to be caught anywhere near the crime scenes. He believed that the officers were imbeciles with badges, but didn't want the inconvenience of being hauled down to the station just because he was on the run in the woods. King ran until he came to a small airport where a pilot was putting gas in his airplane to prepare for a trip.

"Excuse me sir, would you be so kind as to give me a lift," King asked the man.

"This is a private plane, not for the public," The pilot replied.

"Sir, I am willing to pay you top dollar to fly me out of here" King pleaded.

"How much are we talking here?" The pilot asked.

"How much do you want?" King replied.

"$10,000," The pilot said, smiling.

"Deal, I just need to use your phone to wire the money to you," King agreed.

The man handed King his phone and King used it to call his bank. The money was transferred to the pilot immediately and then both of them boarded the plane. King instructed the man to fly him to Hawaii, where he felt like being away from what was familiar to him. He was running from the pain of his true family and did not want to deal with anything or anyone that reminded him of it.

When the pilot landed his plane, he and King exchanged information for future flights. As King walked through the airport, people were staring at him. At first he wondered why, but then he remembered that he was running through the woods which meant that he was sweaty and dirty. He darted into the men's bathroom to attempt to freshen up. He threw some water over his face and washed his hands. He tried to use the water to slick back what little hair he had on his head. He dusted the dirt and tree shrubs off his clothes. He left the bathroom and got into a taxi. He told the taxi to take him to the nearest mall. As the taxi drove through the island, King took a minute to take in the beautiful scenery. He was amazed at the tall trees, the beautiful buildings and houses. The mountains were astonishing and the little glimpse of ocean was breath taking.

The taxi driver took him to Ala Moana Center located in Honolulu. He told the taxi driver to wait on him. King rushed inside the mall and went to the first clothing store he saw. He walked inside Gap and began selecting shirts, pants, and a pair of shoes for men. After he selected a few beach like clothing and slippers, he rushed to checkout. On his way out of the store, he saw an ATM machine. He placed his black card inside it and requested a $1,000 advance. A few minutes later, the machine dispersed the money and he left the mall to return to the taxi. He instructed the driver to take him to the best hotel in town. A few minutes later, they were pulling up to Trump International Hotel Waikiki. The taxi driver said smiling, "Ok sir, your tab is $125.00." King pulled out two $100.00 bills and gave it to the man. He told him to keep the change and shut the door. The taxi driver just stared at the money in disbelief. King walked to the front desk and booked the deluxe sweet with a balcony overlooking the ocean. It wasn't long before the front desk clerk handed King a key and he was off to his room. He felt a sense of peace when he opened his room door and saw the massive suite fit for a king. "This is the least my so called parents owe me," King said to himself.

King rushed to his hotel room as if he was running from a killer. When he walked into the room, he went straight to the bathroom which was large enough to be an apartment all on its own. It had a huge soaking tub and a large shower with a sophisticated shower head. His first thought was to question the need to have such an immense shower space. King took off his clothes and turned on the shower to scrub off the last three days of his life. He found himself sobbing uncontrollably. His emotions were all over the place, he was angry and sad. The thought of always wanting to feel connected to family, yet it was in his face this whole time was gut wrenching. To think about almost having a relationship with his sister was nauseating and knowing that he was the reason for Penelope's pain, was definitely damaging. King knew that he was one messed up individual, but solitary from anything familiar would heal him, or so he thought.
