As the plane came to a holt and the door opened, the FBI vehicles fled to the plane blocking it in. The cars couldn't move and the plane could not take off. Aleandra stepped off the plane along with his men and King. Alex and the other men stepped out of their vehicles with their guns pointed at Aleandra. Officer Barrett remained in the car with Cathy. It was an all time standoff with only one solution, the negotiation. Alex decided that he was the best negotiator present given the situation and he had jurisdiction over the officers.
"Aleandra, you are under arrest. We have you surrounded, release King Clark and we will not shoot you!" Alex yelled.
"Am I now? It seems to me that you are the one that is surrounded. Release Cathy and I will give you King. He is of no use to me anyway," Aleandra said.
"I can't do that and you know it!" Alex barked.
"Tell me something officers, how did you know that I would be here right now?" Aleandra asked.
"Cathy told us!" Alex lied.
"No, she wouldn't know! It appears that I have another traitor among my group," Aleandra said, walking closer to King.
"King run!" Penelope shouted from behind the plane.
"Grab her!" Aleandra snarled.
"No, Penelope run!" King yelled.
"Penelope!" Officer Carmichael exclaimed.
"Let me go!" Penelope screamed as Aleandra's men held her.
"Alright, it was me! I've been leaking information to them, please just let her go. She has nothing to do with this!" King admitted.
"You are not helping your situation here by adding citizens to your death toll. Now I am going to ask you one more time, put your weapons down and come out with your hands up," Alex demanded.
Before Aleandra could say anything, Alex fired a shot hitting Aleandra in the chest. Aleandra fired his weapon at King hitting him in the neck. Cathy saw this and punched Officer Barrett in his groin area, then she ran from the car. Aleandra's men started firing at the officers and one of the bullets hit Cathy as she ran towards King. Aleandra raised his hand one more time and fired a head shot to Cathy before he took his last breath. The gun fire continued until Aleandra's men were killed. Penelope laid on the ground screaming in fear as bullets flew over her head. When the shooting was finished, she realized that King was shot. She rushed to him screaming his name and crying. The officers rushed to secure the guns and then ran over to King to assist him. They applied pressure to his neck, but the bullet hit an artery causing him to lose a lot of blood. King died in Penelope's arms just as the ambulance was pulling up. Officer Carmichael hung his head and placed his hand on Penelope's shoulder. They all said how sorry they were and how hard they tried to help him.
More officers and central intelligence agencies arrived on the scene to put the pieces of the puzzle together. By the time that they were done, the Vice President was in handcuffs and being hauled off to prison. Even thought there were no witnesses to collaborate all the evidence against him, Cathy's testimony was recorded and that was enough. They were also able to pull the coffee shop surveillance and used the employees to testify that he was there a certain time every month to use his phone. By the end of the investigation, Alex's stepfather received a medal for his role in the case; Alex was given a promotion and a medal. Officer Carmichael, Barrett, and Sgt. Greg were also given medals for their roles. Their department threw them a huge celebration and the mayor honored them in a celebration service. Sgt. Greg was promoted to Lieutenant. Russia immediately issued a statement saying that they did not have anything to do with the recent plots against America. They apologized for their citizen's actions and hope to continue to work with America in future endeavors. President Kemp publically thanked all involved in stopping the terrorist acts and people were finally at ease.
