After a night of success at the restaurant, Penelope sent everyone else home, deciding to close up by herself. She wanted to go over some paperwork that wasn't clear to her. When she was done, she locked the doors and headed toward the parking lot. Suddenly, someone came up from behind her and yanked her in a dark spot near the restaurant's back door.
"What are you doing?" Penelope yelled.
"I am giving you what you want," James said.
"No, you are not. I said not to speak to me again. That's what I really want," Penelope said, attempting to walk away.
James pulled Penelope's arm and said, "And where do you think that you are going?"
"Let me go James, you are hurting me," Penelope cried.
James threw Penelope onto a box near the back door. As she attempted to scramble to her feet, she heard a strange buzzing sound as if a swarm of bees was passing overhead. Then, something fired at James, hitting him in the chest. James fell to his knees, and then eventually he hit the floor face down. Beverly came running right as the buzzing sound became distant in the air.
"Oh my God, Penelope are you alright?!" Beverly exclaimed.
"He was attacking me, I didn't do anything," Penelope replied.
"We got to call the police," Beverly said searching for her cell phone.
"And tell them what? They won't believe me," Penelope said.
"Yes they will, because you don't have any weapons," Beverly said as she dialed 911.
When the 911 dispatcher answered, Beverly repeated what Penelope told her. Within minutes, lights and sirens were racing down the street to the restaurant. Penelope and Beverly didn't move an inch. When the police arrived, they immediately jumped to conclusions. Before they could decide who to arrest, King showed up out of nowhere.
"Ma'am what happened here?" The officer questioned.
"I was just leaving the restaurant when he came from behind me and pulled me over here. He threw me on the box and then I heard a buzzing sound. He dropped instantly, I don't know what happened," Penelope cried.
"Let me get this straight, you heard a buzzing sound and then he died? Ma'am why are all of these people showing up dead around you or this restaurant?" The officer snarled.
"Don't say any more Penelope, they don't believe you," King said.
"King, where did you come from?" Beverly asked.
"Yes, Mr. Clark where did you come from?" The officer chimed in.
"I didn't hear from them and they should've been home a long time ago. I was coming here to check on them. I've been home all night sir, I just left my house. You can check my bus pass!" King yelled at the officer.
"Ok, well, you might have a solid alibi, but your friend here needs to come down to the station to answer some more questions," The officer said reaching for Penelope.
"Hey, hold on sir, on what grounds? How about you check the camera system to see if she is telling the truth sir?" King said blocking the officer from touching Penelope.
"What camera system? You know you always have some technology to save your ass from prosecution. Show me the system," The officer said, irritated.
