Chapter 20 - He's a pirate

The sword stuck itself beneath Jack's feet, barely saving him seconds from certain death. Noelle, Nozel And Dorothy all exchanged looks, before Nozel rushed off to stop the escape. Dorothy just laughed said: "Oh you big dumbo"

Asta then jumped onto the gallows and begun slashing at the executioner, who was one hunk of a man. Jack just hung there, balancing on the anti-magic sword, which was constantly draining his mana. As Asta was dueling the executioner, he noticed that every second they were more and more surrounded. He quickly pulled out his Demon Destroyer and freed Jack from partial suffocation and mana drainage hell. However in doing so, the Demon dweller Asta was using to duel was knocked out of Asta's hand. Without second thought Asta picked up the executioner and threw him into the crowd Nozel was making his way through. A giant man falling ontop of you is one thing. A giant man coated in rock armor is an another. Jack meanwhile untied himself using the Demon slayer sword and with the little mana he had left, summoned himself a cutlass. Asta picked up his Demon destroyer and they ran to the edge of the fort. While they ran spells flinged at them left and right. Asta deflected most of them, others had to be dodged.

"We don't kill" Asta yelled as he punched a magic knight.

"Tell that to them" Jack yelled back as he parried a firebolt.

Asta then knocked back a few magic knigts as Jack tackled one and knocked him out. With a wave of magic knights behind them and few infront. The two made their run for it. Barel roll or two later they knocked out their last opponents and made their stand, now completely surrounded.

Damnatio Kira came strolling in like the biggest hero in the world and decided to mock the two.

"I though we might have to deal with some ill-concieved escape attempt, but not from you" he said as he glared at Asta. "On your return to the Clover kingdom the Wizard king tried his everything to grant you clemency, and this is how you repay him? Pathetic." Damnatio then turned to Jack: "You seriously thought you may have a chance of escaping. Did you forget who outsmarted you all these years ago?" Damnatio finished. Without hesitation Jack punched the guy's lights out.

"Scale this you fricking casual" Jack shouted, which almost got them toasted, if not for Nozel interfering. 

"Hold your fire men" he shouted "what do you think you're doing pesant, don't you think you're overstepping your boundaries? He's a pirate for god's sake" Nozel finished.

"And a good man. He may seem rough around the edges, but deep down, he's got pure heart. The judgment was ill, he doesn't deserve to die" Asta yelled.

"You forget your place, peasant" Nozel glared at the boy.

/Klaus Badelt - One Last Shot/

"It's right here, between the Black bulls and Jack" Asta yelled even louder.

"As is mine" Noelle joined Asta's side.

"Noelle? Lower your grimoires for god's sake!" Nozel commanded.

"You sure about that Noelle? The Silver Eagles would gladly have you." Dorothy asked.

"Yes" Noelle replied and filled the place with silence. Well, until Jack noticed Cotton's parrot.

"Well I got a rather good feeling about this and I think we've all arrived at a very special place. Aye? Spiritually, ecumenically, grammatically." Jack said as he walked towards Nozel.

"I want you to know, that I've been a big admirer since childhood, mate. Know that" He said to Nozel. He then spotted Nebra in the crowd.

"Nebra. It couln't have possibly worked between us, cutie. Dig deeper into legends about me." he said to Nebra. He then walked closer to the edge.
