Snitch

*Crime Scene*

While carrying out an undercover drug bust, Adam was working with a dealer called Eddie while trying to take down another one by the name of Kurtis. In the middle of the deal, Kurtis suddenly backed off but Eddie was willing to try again and told Adam to come to his house. When the Officer arrived, he found the dealer shot in his own backyard.

Hank, Ana, and Alvin arrived the next morning just in time to see the body being carried out. Kevin was standing where it use to be and Adam was walking over from the side of the house.

"What do we got?" Hank wondered.

"It's, uh, two to the chest. Nine millimeter. The casings are right here." Kevin replied, pointing to said objects.

"Did you find the gun?" Ana inquired from her husband's left.

"Not yet." Kevin sighed just as Adam joined the small group.

"You okay?" The brunette asked.

"Yeah." Adam nodded, looking at each of the three best friends. "This was Kurtis or somebody that worked for him. It had to be."

"Well, now we follow the evidence. Grab Upton and Halstead. Start knocking." Hank ordered. "We need witnesses."

"Yeah." Adam muttered, watching them walk off.

*District 21: Bullpen*

Everyone, except Hailey, Jay, and Antonio, was crowded around Kim's desk as she typed away on her computer.

"So this is spotter-cam video." Kim explained as the blonde Detective appeared at the top of the stairs and joined the group. "It's not perfect, but here's the shot, swivels, there's our guy."

The footage showed a figure running as far away from the house as possible.

"Yeah. Sure looks like Kurtis." Adam nodded.

"Mm, about the same height, same weight." Kevin agreed.

"Yeah, but we can't see his face." Hank pointed out.

"It's definitely not enough for warrant." Ana added.

"It's enough for you to grab Antonio and pay him a visit." Hank ordered, looking down at Kim.

"Yup." She replied, shooting out of her chair and grabbing her jacket.

"Well, let's watch this again." Adam sighed, leaning forward along with Kevin and Hank while replaying the video.

"So, what happened? Kurtis shoots Eddie, he goes running out the back?" Kevin wondered.

"Yeah, but the bloody footprints that I saw. . . they went out the front door." Adam recalled, shaking his head.

"It could be two shooters." Hank shrugged, standing up straight again. "One goes out the front, the other goes out the back."

"Oli, Hailey, head over to that restaurant and figure out what happened." Ana ordered.

"Okay." The blonde nodded along with Alvin as they moved towards the stairs.

"Something spooked these guys." Hank pointed out as Adam paused the video on the man sprinting away.

*A Little While Later*

Hank and Ana appeared in the Office doorway after spotting Hailey and Alvin walking in their direction.

"Found a counter-surveillance device in the restaurant." The elder Detective informed, holding up an evidence bag with said object in it. "The kind you can buy for five bucks at some half-assed spy store."
