A/N I apologize for the super late upate. I was gonna post this yesterday like I said but my freaking internet went down during the afternoon and most of the night but then I fatfingered the publish button because my sister wouldn't leave me alone and ugh.

Anyway, here we are, ladies and gentlemen! The final chapter of this book. Please relax and enjoy the read!

~Princess <3

"Let's say I believe you." Denny began after a few moments of just eyeing the brunette. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

"Alvin's my best friend too." Ana revealed, her tone hardening the more she spoke. "And I'm not gonna let him go down for this nor am I gonna allow you to smear my husband's name in a crime he had nothing to do with."

The Auditor seemed to accept that answer and nodded before continuing.

"All right then, Ana, let me ask you this." He prompted, shifting his weight from one foot to the other and crossing his arms. "Even if you are telling the truth, why shouldn't I frame Hank for it anyway? I mean, he's the one I really want."

The brunette swallowed but it did nothing relieve the lump that formed in her throat. She already hated herself for even thinking about saying the words that were about to come out of her mouth but she had to convince Denny that this was the right choice. . .that she was.

"Yeah, you could do that and finally put him in prison where you think he belongs but it would do nothing to get rid of the fight that's still in him. He's too stubborn to give up that easily and he'll find another way out just like he did the first time." Ana reasoned, forcing herself to keep a hard tone and a blank expression. "The best way to get rid of that fight, that stubborness, is making sure he never sees the love of his life again."

She was lying, of course. If you even dared to try taking Hank's wife away from him, you'd be unleashing an unstoppable force that would do absolutely anything to get her back again. Denny didn't need to know that, though.

Speaking of the man, it seemed Ana's words had done the trick. He smiled, evilly, and moved aside so the brunette could step in. Denny closed the door and led her into his study. He quickly went behind his desk and grabbed something before turning back to her.

"Take a seat." Denny offered, gesturing to the chair behind Ana and revealing the object in his hand to be a recorder. "Let's get this done. I'm with Sergeant Ana Voight to discuss-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. No recordings, not until we have a deal." The brunette hissed whirling around from where she had moved to sit down.

"Okay. Tell me what you have to say. What kind of deal you looking for, off the record. We'll go from there." He nodded, handing her the device and sitting in the chair accross from her.

Ana switched it off and took a deep breath.

"Let's say, hypothetically, I confess to killing the son of a bitch who murdered my son. I tell you I hunted Kevin Bingham like a dog, made him dig his own grave, and then shot him in the face." She growled out, voice full of venom, as she finally sat down and placed the recorder on a nearby table. "If I say all that on the record, would it be enough to drop all charges against Alvin?"

Denny smirked, slightly, catching her wince as the movement jostled her injured body.

"I think it would. Let me call Osha, and we will work out all the details in person tonight." He assured.

Ana nodded and he stood up, walking over to his phone.

*A Little While Later*

James Osha was now seated where Denny was and the Auditor to his left.
