*District 21*
The entire team, sans Ana, were at some sort of ceremony last night. Hank didn't want his wife to go for some reason and the brunette didn't argue, simply heading to bed for the night.
She was woken up the next morning by her husband explaining that there had been a shooting a few blocks away from the ceremony. Grant Hammond along with his wife, Margaret, had been murdered in their home. Their son was in critical condition and the team had found two keys of Heroin in the upstairs portion of the house.
Now in the Bullpen, Hank, Ana, Antonio, and Kim were all leaning on or hovering near the desks closest to the whiteboard.
"So far no surveillance or PODS caught sight of the shooter." Antonio reported with a sigh.
"Anything on Grant Hammond?" Hank inquired.
"Asset Forfeiture, they ran the round robin on him. He was broke, he was juggling five credit cards. Hasn't received a check from his last employer in over a year." The Detective informed, reading from his notepad.
"That would be his law firm. They let him go last year." Kim chimed in, moving over to the whiteboard with a file in hand.
"Okay. Are there any cash deposits to his bank account?" Ana wondered.
"No, he was a little smarter than that. He was using a safety deposit box, but the bank filled out an SAR on him for frequent visits." The Officer replied.
"Okay, so he is dealing on the side to make ends meet." Hank nodded.
"Or to keep up his perfect lifestyle." Antonio added while Kim hummed in response. "Fancy brownstone. Kid in college."
"Guys, I think I have a lead on the supplier." Hailey spoke up, appearing behind the two Sergeants and handing the Officer a file.
"Good place to start." Hank commented, pushing off the desk and walking towards the whiteboard.
"Techs ran GPS on Hammond's car. He'd been making multiple trips to Englewood." The blonde explained.
"You have an address?" Ana inquired.
"6241 South Racine. Stash house is linked to a Quinton Kane. Apparently he's a pretty serious player. Moves a lot of product through the Gold Coast." Hailey informed.
"All right. Get the details on Kane, then get some eyes on him." Hank ordered, heading towards the Office before pausing and turning back around. "Oh, you should probably contact McGrady in Narcotics. His team covers that area."
"Sarge?" Hailey called, making the older man stop, again, while Ana slipped into the small room. "Makes for a crowded van."
"You saying you got a problem with McGrady?" Hank questioned.
"Yeah." The blonde admitted with a sigh.
"Well, work it out." The male Sergeant retorted with a small shrug. "You got a job to do."
Ana smirked as her husband backed into the Office and closed the door.
*Later that Night: Crime Scene*
Ana watched from afar with Adam and Kevin as Hank talked with Denny. They were soon joined by another African American male and the Auditor eventually left but not without winking at the brunette. A shudder racked her frame and she heard Adam sigh from her left.
"What is his deal with you, Sarge?" He inquired in disgust.
"Yeah, it seems like he's obsessed with you or something." Kevin agreed.
