*Chicago Med: Emergency Department: Trauma Room*

Ana was sitting on the bed while Will wrapped a bandage around her injured hand in silence. The brunette had gone to see the redhead right after her little "incident" at Molly's and he rushed her into a room to get an X-ray, having immediately caught on to how she was holding her right arm close her chest.

The scan revealed a clean break which would normally mean that Will would have to set the bone and give her a cast but Ana's brace made the perfect splint. The redhead also noticed that whatever broke her wrist, which looked an awful lot like a shoe shaped bruise, broke some of the skin. So here he was, wrapping the cloth around the older woman's hand to both help keep the snapped bone in place and secure the gauze that would prevent furture bleeding or infection.

Will finished by helping Ana put her brace back on and she couldn't help but release a breath of relief when it covered the bandage perfectly. He glanced at the brunette in concern, like he's done countless times during the her visit, and stood up, taking off his gloves with a sigh.

"So are you gonna tell me how that happened?" The redhead inquired, throwing them in the trash and holding a hand up as Ana opened her mouth to reply. "I already know it didn't happen on a case cause one of the members of your team, or Voight, would've come with you and if you say it happened on a call I will call down to 51 to confirm it." He warned, walking back over to the bed. "Please, just, tell me the truth."

The brunette bit her lip and looked down, feeling tears pricking at her eyes. She didn't want to lie to Will but she didn't want to risk Matt and Kelly getting hurt either. Ana eventually took a deep breath and gazed up at him once more.

"If I do, you have to promise me you won't tell anyone." She decided, firmly.

"Depends on how bad it is." The redhead retorted, gently.

"Will, please." Ana begged, sniffling a bit. "I'm already risking their lives just by being here."

He frowned but nodded, softly, and sat back down on the edge of the bed.

"Okay, I won't." The doctor promised.

The older woman glanced at the closed curtains, as if wanting to make sure no one was listening in, and looked down at her lap.

"When Justin was murdered and after you helped me, we found his killer." She began, fiddling with her brace.

"And you killed him." Will guessed in a low voice and the brunette nodded in confirmation.

"Later on, Henry asked an old friend of his for help when a case we caught linked back to one they had worked together. Turns out, he had planted evidence and got an innocent man sent to prison in the process. We took him down but he came back as the Independent Auditor who reviewed the shooting that made your brother's bullet kill that little girl." Ana explained, giving the redhead a moment to digest that information before continuing when he nodded for her to do so. "A few weeks ago, he dug up the body of Justin's killer but he's dead set on thinking it was Henry who did it. Up until then, he had no idea that we were married but once he figured it out, he offered me full immunity if I told him how Henry 'did it.' I told him to go to Hell and now. . ." She trailed off, glancing down at her wrist before finishing in a soft whisper. "This is the second time he's sent his goons after me, thinking it'll make me change my mind. It's not going to and it never will, but they keep threatening to hurt Matt and Sev if I tell anyone so I didn't."

The brunette suddenly found herself enveloped in a tight hug and held back a wince as it jostled the rest of her injured body.

"I understand and I'll keep my promise but you have to come to me after from now on so I can make sure they don't hurt you too badly." Will reasoned in a soft voice.
