*Nighttime at District 21*
Ana walked through the gate to find Kim at the front desk with Trudy while Adam and Kevin were exiting the building. The brunette suddenly felt a wave of dread crash over her but shook it away, not wanting it to ruin her good mood.
"Happy birthday, Hun." She grinned, moving towards her best female friend. "Otis finally convinced Chris to put a karaoke machine in at Molly's."
"Bad idea. Attracts the wrong kind of crowd." Trudy retorted, shrugging on her jacket and rounding the desk.
"I don't know, could be really fun." Kim shrugged.
"When pigs fly, Burgess." The Desk Sergeant muttered.
"Famous last words, Hun." Ana smirked.
*Molly's*
Oh, how right the brunette was. Trudy had the mic and was currently singing along to the tune of "Car Wash" by Rose Royce.
Ana was grinning so hard her cheeks were starting to hurt, however, She glanced at Adam in slight concern when she overheard him telling Kim that Kevin's phone kept going to voicemail.
The female Sergeant's happy mood faded completely as her bad feeling came back at full force. She glanced around the bar and quickly knocked back a shot of Tequila, trying to calm herself. It wasn't working.
*The Next Morning: District 21: Basement/Garage*
Hank and Ana were overseeing the mandatory de-escalation tests that went along with the training, when a certain male Officer finally decided to join the class.
"Sarge!" Adam called as he rushed in.
"You're late." Trudy snapped from a nearby table.
"I know. I'll do the make-up test. I- I was looking for Kev." He explained, panicked and a bit out of breath.
"Any luck at his house?" Hank asked while Ana felt a wave of dread wash over her for the third time in the past 24 hours.
"No. Mail's untouched, his bed's still made. But he's car's not there so it looks like he never came home." Adam replied as Jay and Antonio joined the small group.
"And he's a no-show for this." Kim added, worriedly, shooting out of her chair.
"Let's track him down." Hank suggested.
"Hun, can you ping his direct connect phone?" Ana requested, quietly.
"I'm all over it." Trudy assured, patting her best friend on the shoulder as she brushed by on the way to a computer.
"Hey, so listen, last night he said he had to take care of something in Bucktown. He ever mention anything like that to you?" Adam inquired, turning to Kim.
"No." She shook her head.
"Anything about Jordan and Vinessa?" Hank wondered.
"No." Kim replied.
"No. Right?" Adam agreed. "I mean last time I heard, they were doing great."
"Hey, I think I got him." Trudy called out and everyone crowded around her. "Phone's pinging from Rosewood. 4458 North 14th Street."
"That's a long way from Bucktown." Kim pointed out.
The two Sergeants, who looked as confused as everyone felt, stared at the monitor for a few seconds and shared a look.
"I've. . . had a bad feeling ever since you and Kevin left the District last night." Ana admitted in a soft murmur.
That had everyone sharing concerned looks and they started scrambling for anything that could help them figure out the location of their missing team member.
