*Random Restaurant*
Hank and Ana walked in, finding Alvin seated at a nearby booth.
"Hey, guys." The Detective murmured in greeting as a waitress set a mug of coffee down in front of him.
"Hi, Oli." The brunette smiled.
"Hey." The older man grunted, watching the waitress walk off before lowering his voice. "Hey."
Ana slid into the booth across from Alvin and Hank did the same but not without sliding a small, orange, envelope over to his best friend.
"What's this?" The Detective wondered.
"I got a source in the ivory tower. She gave me that." Hank replied, watching him pull a picture of a sandy-haired, white male with a beared out of the envelope.
"Recognize him?" Ana inquired.
"Yeah. It's the junkie I caught breaking into my car. . ." Alvin paused to glance around the room. "The night me and Erin moved Bingham's body."
"Well, his name is Ruben Gilbright." Hank explained in a quiet voice. "Our guess is Woods is gonna use him to try and build a homicide case against you."
"You really think these guys are that far along?" The Detective questioned.
"We're not sure, but we don't wanna take any chances." Ana sighed.
"Alright, we're gonna look into this Ruben, see what he's about, maybe catch him dirty." Hank gave a tiny shrug. "Destroy what little credibility he has left. Hopefully, we'll put this thing to bed, once and for all."
"Let me handle it." Alvin suggested, putting the photo back in the envelope and sliding it back over to the older man who slipped it into his jacket pocket.
"Oli, you can't get anywhere near this." Ana pointed out.
"I got this, Al." Hank assured, placing his hand on top of his wife's. "We got it."
*1360 South Waycrest*
Adam lead the two Sergeants and Antonio through the apartment building.
"Happened right before we got here. By the time we arrived, shooters were already in the wind." The Officer explained as they passed by a body in the hallway.
Adam lead them into a room where Kevin was leaning against a wall by the door and staring at another one lying sprawled out on a mattress.
"It's another stash house rip." Ana realized.
"Yeah, and they got the Hell up out of here, too, Sarge. Dropped a couple bricks of heroin on the way out. No cash. Bricks have a cobra logo this time." Kevin reported.
"Both guards were dead, just like the other rips." Adam added.
"Guys." Hailey called, appearing in the doorway and nodding for them to follow her.
"Okay, get the casings to ballistics." Hank ordered, standing up from where he was crouched next to said objects. "See if they're a match with the other robberies."
"Copy." Kevin replied.
"Door down the hall may as well have been paper." Hailey explained as she lead them to another room. "Bullets went flying through it. Little boy in there was collateral damage."
Just as they got to the door, the two Sergeants heard Antonio talking to someone else behind them and turned, spotting a familar face a few feet away. Hank gave Hailey a friendly shoulder pat and walking back over to the two men with his wife close behind.
