"she's still sleeping? What the fuck I've literally been in a 12 hour flight and she's still sleeping?"

"I want to sleep too.. let me sleep here" I felt movements on the side of the bed.. I flutter my eyes open just to feel the pain on my stomach and face. Right... an asshat punched me "oh look she's still alive" I turn to look at my side and saw Jisoo pointing at me. It is very bright in here and the room is literally all white.
"How are you feeling?" I turn on the other side and saw Jennie, I didn't even know that she is holding my hand until she squeeze it lightly
"Jisoo is louder than an alarm clock" I said which made Jennie smile knowing that I'm feeling just fine
"I mean, you're already on a hospital bed so I'll just think that you're not thinking straight yet" Jisoo said as she push me softly "can you please scoot over or simply get off of the bed? I want to sleep too" she said as she sit on the side of the bed. This woman is just straight up crazy
"Are you alright?" I ask Jennie which made her nod. I lift myself up to try and sit just so Jisoo can lay down or she'll keep on nagging about not giving her enough space.
"The neighbors called the police last night" Jennie said.. I do remember that before passing out
"What happened?" I ask
"Well.. long story short they didn't do anything about it" I furrow my brows at how weird that is
"You threw the first punch" Jisoo said "the security camera on the hallway basically saw you going to their apartment and basically barging in and can be seen as trespassing. Hearing Jennie whimper from their apartment can mean a lot of things. They did caught that you threw the first punch, since Jennie and Cory can't lie about that they did confirm that. It will just be ignored if you have a decent proof that Kang provoked you to throw that punch." Jisoo said
"But Cory did saw Jennie laying on the ground too" I said, she can be a witness
"And she did say that to the police. As you know, Kang is a huge douchebag who doesn't mess up his punches on Jennie so it won't leave a mark right? So basically, police checked her and saw nothing. They said it's either you guys are lying or Jennie was not feeling well when you saw her" that sounds like shit.. there's so many holes to check "also most of your neighbors are useless as fuck" Jisoo complains "most of them are watching TV, playing music, talking, or sleeping when there was a couple of thuds coming from Jennie's apartment. So none of them can testify"
"Did they get Jennie's statement?"
"They did" Jennie answered this time "but since both Cory and you went in uninvited and punch Kang, they told me that I was basically the reason behind it. Now they told me I can either file a case towards you or Kang but the down side is I will definitely take it to the court either way"
"You don't want to?" I ask
"My attorney told me not to... It will provoke the court case for the divorce and custody that we will have soon. As she said, it is better if Kang doesn't know about the divorce beforehand. It will also brought up the fact that we are also seeing each other behind Kang" Jennie explains
"But won't Kang file a case against me?"
"He won't.. you saw what happened clearly and he's afraid that you might dig more into it. He doesn't know that we're seeing each other after all. So basically dropping the case will just bring back everything to normal, everyone will think that it is just a misunderstanding fight between neighbors"
"Won't he have any clue though? I mean he knows that we used to date before " I said
"Yeah, he also knew the reason why we broke up so he thinks that I'm not as close to you as before" I nod my head in understanding
"Aren't you suppose to be back in the apartment? What if he finds out that you're here?" She squeeze my hand again to reassure me
"Don't worry, he thinks that I'm still at the police station giving my statement. Also since you were unconscious.. Cory told Kang that Ella and I will stay with her for the mean time as she won't let him lay even the tip of his finger on me" Jennie said smiling a bit
"Cory acts more of a mother than your own huh?" she hummed in response. Her mom didn't visit her once and neither was she talking to her about all of these "Why did he hurt you again? I mean you've been acting normal around him.. there's literally no point getting jealous and hurting you"
"He found out that I went out of the country with Ella.. I explained plenty of times that it is for work but he's just fucked in the head. I told him to check the hospital and ask about it but he told me that I should've still informed him about it. I don't know really, everything seems to trigger his knuckles nowadays" Jennie said
"I was literally gonna call Lisa yesterday since some of my attorney wanted to work with yours for your case but I end up talking to someone saying that Lisa's knocked out" Jisoo said which made both Jennie and I turn to look at her while she's comfortably laying at the hospital bed
"Are you fired from your own company?" I asked since she's always around and she's been flying in and out of the country like it's just a nearby city
"no.. I'm the CEO still" she said
"how come you're not so busy?"
"cause I chose not to be busy" that's not how it works but sure " Jennie, give me your attorney's number then I'll let my attorneys talk to her about your case. One of my attorney handled so many cases of abuse before working for me so it'll come in handy"
"I will, thank you" Jennie said
"Uh.. I also need to buy a couple of games for my PS5 and some game skins" Jennie and I didnt even ask about it. What she's trying to say is she'll appreciate Jennie's thank you more if she'll buy stuff for her. Honestly Jisoo is just straight up stingy when it comes to money but in all seriousness, she's a great friend she won't even ask that off of Jennie if she knows that Jennie can't afford it. Since Jennie is a great surgeon and also getting paid a ton, she didn't worry about asking for such things knowing that it's a small thing compared to her help.
"I'm not even surprised" Jennie said chuckling at Jisoo's antics "are you feeling better?" She ask as she brush my hair back while still holding my hand with her other hand. I'm just looking at her while her eyes is following her hand as she brushes my hair with her fingers.
"Yeah.. I've never been punched before so count that as an experience" I said playfully making her laugh as she continue doing that
"Lisayah.." I hummed to let her continue, she put her eyes back on me as she stop brushing my hair and let her other hand sit on my shoulder. "I appreciate what you did yesterday, I appreciate you everyday. But please, be careful" she said with concern lingering on her eyes "I know you wanted to protect me. But it kills me knowing that I can't protect you just as much. I love you so please never put yourself in so much danger again" I understand her and to be honest barging in like that without knowing what to do is definitely like going on a gun fight with just a knife, very stupid but I don't know any alternative way.
"She's right Lisayah" Jisoo said.. I completely forgot that she's just laying down there "that's quite stupid but I understand both of your perspective.. so please stop saying how much you love each other cause I'm very single and I don't appreciate you guys for doing that infront of me" she complains making me shake my head in disbelief
