Chasing Stars (Daniel Seavey)

Hollywood Week

It was the first week of Hollywood week and Payton and Daniel still don't notice each other yet. They know OF each other but they don't KNOW each other. Everyone was doing interviews and Payton was up doing interviews for the American idol episode.

Payton's clip
"My names Payton Vaughns and I'm from a town in Texas called Allen which is just 20 minutes away from Dallas. I've been singing since I was little and its been apart of me ever since. I've met a lot of cool people here and they are all pretty laid back. I actually met Trevor Douglas back at the airport in California and it turns out that we are both from Texas. He's from Fort Wort which is just like 30 minutes away so we kinda hung out at each other's houses and we clicked from the beginning and he's really cool. He was really freaked out when he saw my room because it's all filled with posters of like one direction and all those big bands." Payton laughs. "She's obsessed." Trevor comes in to interrupt and leaves and Payton laughs. "The person I wanna get to know the most is probably Daniel Seavey. We've never really talked but I hear we have a lot in common. And I'm excited to hear his voice. I mean he's adorable also so yea. But I'm just hear to focus on American Idol and I'm very excited. The group I'm gonna be singing with, they are all very cool, Jax, Alexis Gomez and Adanna Duru and our group is called....what's it called?" Payton looks back at Jax. "Criminal Minds." Jax replies. "Criminal Minds." Payton turns back to the camera and laughs.

After Payton's interview she went back to the performance area and watched the other groups sing. In the meantime Daniel had his solo interview.

Daniels interview
"My names Daniel Seavey and I'm from Portland Oregon but I just moved to Washington. I am one of the youngest contestants here and it's nerve racking because everyone else is so experienced. I'm most excited to hear Payton because I hear she's the same age and she has such a powerful voice so I'm excited. And I mean, don't tell her, but I'm not gonna lie, she is pretty. Daniel laughs and blushes. I met a lot of cool people here and they are just all so nice and they don't treat me like a baby...most of them." Daniel laughs.

For their first week solos, Daniel sang Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran and Payton sang Fire N Gold by Bea Miller.

Groups
LKYCO
"Give me the name of the group?" The producer camera guy asks. Qaasim, Trevor, Savion and Daniel just start saying random things at the same time. "LKYCO. Come one guys." Daniel laughs. "The group name is, LKYCO..." Qaasim starts to say. "Ladies Keep Your Clothes On....in parenthesis Please." Qaasim explains. "I let them come up with the name" Savion says and Trevor laughs.
The boys went up on stage and started to sing "Story Of My Life". They finish and everyone claps. The judges made their comments and everyone was happy because the judges let Qaasim, Trevor, Savion and Daniel through.

After LKYCO, it was the Criminal Minds group turn which includes Jax, Maddie Walker and Adanna Duru and Payton Vaughns
"Why Criminal Minds?" The camera guy asks. "Because its a TV show and it's all of our favorite shows." Adanna explains and laughs. "I mean, we all like the same show and we all have like that look that each character has." Jax laughs. "I just went along with it. I didn't make it up." Payton says and the girls laugh.
They finish the interview and went to the stage and performed "Problem". They finish and everyone claps. Payton smiles and looks at the crowd and spots Daniel smiling and clapping. "That's what a girl group sounds like!" Harry says. "I loved everything about, the harmony the rapping that Payton did, it was flawless!" JLo says. After the comments, the judges let all 4 of the girls through to the next round.

After everyone performs week 1 was over and everyone who made it through went to their hotel rooms. Payton catches up with Trevor and they drive to the hotel together. "You guys did good today!" Payton smiles. "Thanks! You guys killed it!" Trevor says. "Thanks dude. Are you nervous about tomorrow?" Payton asks. "You know it! Oh my gosh we have solos and then top 48! And then 24!! Like ehhhh!" Trevor freaks out. "Trevor chill! Ok?" Payton laughs. "So? What do you think of Daniel?" Trevor nudges Payton. "Hey!" Payton hits Trevor in the arm. "He's good ok? And he's cute but he'll never fall for someone like me." Payton smiles. "Awwww Payton likes Daniel!!!" Trevor teases. "I don't like him! I haven't even talked to him!" Payton says. "You'll get to! Don't worry." Trevor smiles.
They arrive at the hotel and went to their rooms and waited for the next week.

Week 2
It was week 2 and that's when everyone did solos. Everyone was in the audience watching. Payton was sitting next to Jax and Daniel was sitting with Trevor. Payton gets up because she wanted to warm up so she went outside of the auditorium. She pulls out her phone and looks at her Twitter but she doesn't look where she's going so she bumps into someone. "Oh I'm sorry I wasn't looking." Payton apologizes. "No it's ok I wasn't looking." Daniel looks up at Payton. "Ah, so you're the famous Daniel Seavey." Payton jokingly says and smiles. "Yep!" Daniel laughs. "And you're Payton Vaughns?" Daniel asks smiling. "That's me. It's nice to finally meet you." Payton sticks out her hand for him to shake. "It's nice to meet you too!" Daniel shakes Payton's hand and smiles. The two finally got a chance to talk and they walked back to the auditorium and sit next to each other until they both went backstage to get ready for their performance. Daniel went up with his guitar.

"Hi baby, what are you gonna sing?" JLo looks up at Daniel. "I See Fire by Ed Sheeran" Daniel says into the microphone. Daniel sings his song and finishes and everyone claps.
"So freaking cute, it's crazy." JLo smiles. "Right back atcha." Daniel smiles and harry and Keith laugh. "Did you hear what said?" Harry asks. "Yes." JLo smiles. "You have such a joy, about you. So much so, that you almost looks like you're this giggly little kid that fell into some other guy's body who happens to be incredibly musical and you can't believe you landed in such a musical body." Keith says. "Thank you guys." Daniel says and walks off the stage and everyone claps.
"You did good Daniel!" Payton pats Daniel on the back. "Thanks, it's your turn. Good luck!" Daniel smiles and high fives Payton. It was Payton's turn and she walked over the the piano.
"Hi beautiful! What are you gonna be singing?" JLo asks. "Impossible by James Arthur." Payton sits down at the piano. She starts playing and slays the song. "Wow! That was amazing!" Keith says. "Thank you!" Payton smiles. "Can I just say something real quick?" Harry asks. "Yea of course!" Payton smiles. "I can see you and Daniel Seavey together." Harry teases and smiles. "Oh my gosh." Payton laughs and everyone claps. "Harry!" JLo laughs. "What?! I'm just saying!" Harry says. "What do you mean together? Like together as a couple or like a duet?" Keith asks. "Duet." Harry says. "Well, I could also see them like a couple." Harry teases. "I just started talking to him." Payton blushes. "Well get to know each other." Harry says. Payton just blushes and the audience laughs. "Getting back on topic! You did great and I can't wait for your house of blues performance!" Keith says. "Thank you!" Payton says and walks off stage to be greeted by Daniel. "Wow!" Payton says in shock. "Haha don't worry bout Harry! You did good." Daniel hugs Payton. After that hug, they both felt something. They just shook it off and they went back to the audience and watched the rest of the other contestants.
