Chasing Stars (Daniel Seavey)

No Apologies

Payton was with Daniel watching the American idol episode when they were singing their auditons songs. "See! You killed it!" Payton tells Daniel. "Literally, I can never watch myself sing." Daniel says. "Hey, welcome to my world!" Payton smiles. "I've always had this problem that I would watch myself sing, and I would get uncomfortable." Payton laughs. "Well then let's agree to not watch our performances. We'll just mute them" Daniel laughs. "Agree!" Payton smiles and kisses Daniel. "Hey, Empire is on!" Daniel says. "It is? Yayyy!" Payton jumps up and down. They watch the show and in the middle, someone knocks on the door. "I'll get it." Daniel says getting up. Daniel walks to the door and opens it. He sees Jax and Qassim standing there out of breath. "Hey guys, why are you so out of breath?" Daniel laughs. "We've been looking for you!!" Jax says. "Where's Payton?" Qassim asks. "I'm here." Payton gets up and walks to the door. "You guys, the judges and Ryan need you..ASAP!" Qassim says in between breath. "Where are they?" Payton asks. "In the lobby, hurry! They have news!" Jax says. "But we're watching Empire." Payton whines. "That doesn't matter just go!" Jax says. Daniel and Payton run to the elevators and go to the lobby and see the judges and Ryan. "There are the lovers!" Harry says spotting the two. "Hey Harry! What's going on?" Daniel asks. "Well remember, everyone was voting for a girl and a guy to sing together?" Harry asks. "Yeaaa...." Payton smiles. "Well.....everyone voted for you guys so you can sing whatever you want together." Harry smiles. "No way?!?!" Daniel says. "Well you guys go in rehearsals tomorrow!!!" Keith says. "Awesome! Thanks so much!" Payton hugs Ryan. "Good luck cuties." JLo smiles. Ryan and the judges leave. Payton and Daniel jump up and down and hug each other. "This is amazing!!!" Daniel smiles. "What are we gonna sing?!?!" Payton asks. "Any song you want!" Daniel smiles. "I'm afraid you won't like it though." Payton says taking Daniel's hand and walking to the elevator. "Don't worry, I listen to songs with you. I'll learn." Daniel says. "Well ok...it's Love Will Be There by Emblem3." Payton says. "You know what, I like that song." Daniel smiles. "You do?!" Payton asks happily. "Yea, and I know the lyrics." Daniel says. "So we can do it?" Payton asks. "Of course!" Daniel smiles. "Yay!" Payton hugs Daniel and kisses him on the cheek. They walk out of the elevator and back to Daniels room. Daniel opens the door and everyone pops out scaring them. "What's this?" Payton laughs. "To congratulate you guys on your duet." Maddie steps up. "Aww guys." Daniel smiles. The rest of the night, everyone just hung out.

It was the night where American idol went live and it was party week. "Hey pay!" Joey walks in. "Hey Joey!" Payton smiles. "I just came in here to tell good luck and I can't wait!" Joey smiles. "Thanks Joey." Payton smiles. "By the way, Daniel's looking for you backstage." Joey says. "Some interview for the preparty." Joey says. "Oh cool, well thanks and good luck!" Payton smiles and walks backstage and finds Daniel. She sees him with a guy with a mic interviewing Daniel and cameras. "Hey Daniel!" Payton walks up to them. "Are you Payton Vaughns?" The guy asks. "Yep that's me!" Payton smiles. "Hi! I'm Chris Tronsden with Pacific Rim Video Press." Chris sticks out his hand. "Hi!" Payton smiles shaking his hand. "I'm just gonna ask a couple questions some people have tweeted me if thats alright." Chris pulls out his phone. "Sure lets do this!" Payton smiles and the cameras start rolling.

"What's up guys it's Chris and I'm here at the American Idol pre party for tonight and I'm here with Daniel Seavey and Payton Vaughns." Chris starts and introduces. "Hello!" Daniel smiles. "Now I'm just gonna cut to the chase with the question everyone is asking." Chris starts to say. "My timeline is blowing up with tweets and pictures about you guys but, are you guys officially together?" Chris asks pointing the mic to them. "Daniel you can answer." Payton laughs. "We are together" Daniel laughs and looks at Payton. "It's been almost 3 weeks so..shes been a handful." Daniel jokingly says. "Just shut up Daniel!" Payton laughs. "That's great, is there any special traditions you guys do together and any gifts you gave each other?" Chris asks. "Well, we watch Empire together!" Payton says. "We also go to In N Out a lot." Daniel laughs. "Yea and for gifts.." Payton starts to say. "Daniel gave me a big basket of like goodies. It had music, candy and a hat and all that stuff." Payton smiles. "And didn't he give you tickets?" Chris asks smiling. "Oh my gosh yes!! To emblem3 because I love them and we are gonna see them next Friday." Payton laughs and Daniel smiles. "And he gives me lots of flowers. Like a lot." Payton laughs. "And, Payton gave me a guitar that I'm actually gonna sing with tonight. And a custom guitar pick and a guitar case. It's really cool." Daniel explains and smiles. "Awesome, and one last thing." Chris starts to say. "Tonight is when a guy and a girl performs correct?" Chris asks. "Yep." Payton says. "And I hear you guys will be doing a duet together." Chris looks at them. "Well, cause obviously you guys are the hottest couple around." Chris laughs. "Yea we are! We are singing Love Will Be There by Emblem3" Daniel smiles. "Why that song?" Chris asks. "Well because it has a message that relates to both Daniel and I." Payton starts to say. "And the message is that, everyone has been doubting us and saying negative things but we have proven them that we can do what we love and we are strong at such a young age" Payton explains. "Amazing! Well good luck you guys tonight and I can't wait to see your performances." Chris smiles. "Thank you!" Payton and Daniel both smile. Chris leaves and Daniel and Payton go backstage. Daniel gets a text from Jax and smiles. "Hey Payton, there's a surprise for you." Daniel says to Payton. "Really? Again?" Payton laughs. "Yes! Now put this on." Daniel pulls out a blindfold from his pocket. Payton laughs and Daniel wraps the blindfold around her eyes. "Guide me ok?" Payton tells Daniel. "Don't worry." Daniel smiles and walks Payton backstage. "Danny...where are we going?" Payton asks. "Well....you are the biggest Empire fan on this show...." Daniel says while taking off her blindfold. Payton opens her eyes and sees Yazz and Jussie from Empire standing right in front of her. Payton gasps and covers her mouth. "You guys are actually...Yazz....Juss....no...what..." Payton stutters and smiles. "Yazz, Jussie, this is my girlfriend Payton, Payton meet Yazz and Jussie." Daniel jokingly introduces Payton to the actors. "Oh my gosh!!! Um hi!!!" Payton laughs. "Aye! Can't wait for you and Daniel to perform." Yazz smiles. "Yea I hear you guys have a sick voice." Jussie adds in. "Well I'm nothing compared to you, Jamal...I mean Jussie." Payton stops herself. "Oh god I'm sorry." Payton apologizes. "Nah it's cool!" Jussie smiles. "Well we got to go on soon..so you want to take a picture?" Yazz asks smiling. "Yes please!" Payton smiles. "Danny will you take it?" Payton asks Daniel handing him her phone. "Yea of course!" Daniel smiles and takes the phone. "Oh, and no seaveyselfies!" Payton looks at Daniel. "Chill Pay I got it!" Daniel laughs. Payton smiles and walks over in between Yazz and Jussie and Daniel tool the picture. "Thank you guys!" Payton smiles at Yazz and Jussie. "No problem! Well have fun!" Yazz smiles and hugs Payton and him and Jussie walk off. "Literally Daniel....you are the best!" Payton turns to Daniel and he's recording. "Ahh goals." Daniel laughs and shows Payton the video of her and Yazz hugging. "That's cute!" Payton smiles and takes Daniels arm. "Thanks so much danny!" Payton smiles. "Anything for you. I want you to be happy." Daniel looks at Payton. "I'm already happy...when I'm with you." Payton smiles and kisses Daniel. Daniel blushes and smiles. "Hey, shows about to start, should we go to our seats?" Daniel asks. "Yea sure!" Payton smiles and takes Daniels hand. They find their seats and sit next to each other. The show eventually started. Everyone had balloons and glow sticks and their was confetti and it was so cool! Ryan came out and introduced the judges.
"Tonight, we have our top 12 contestants and they will be performing for your votes." Ryan says pointing to the contestants. "Also last week, you, the citizens of America, voted one boy and one girl to sing a duet together and those two will be performing towards the end of the show." Ryan says and everyone cheers. "But first! We have our special guests star who will be performing their hit song No Apologies. Give it up for Empire's Yazz and Jussie!" Ryan yells and the crowd cheers. Yazz was in the back of the stage facing away and the music started. Yazz started rapping and growing the energy in the crowd. The camera pointed over to where Daniel and Payton were and they catch Payton rapping to everyone word Yazz was rapping. The camera pointed back to the stage and Jussie came out literally slaying!!!!!! Like slaying!!!! Payton screams and her and Daniel sing along and get up from their chairs and dance.
Yazz and Jussie finish and everyone claps cheers and screams. "One more time for Yazz and Jussie!!" Ryan points at the guys and the crowd cheers. "Now, we'll be back with our top 12 and finds out who will make it through and stay tuned till the ending to see who you voted for to sing together!" Ryan says and the cameras go off for the break.

The break was over and Ryan came out. "We are back to find out who makes it through the top 11." Ryan smiles. "Now their chairs will be red..." Ryan starts to say and the contestants chairs turn red. "..and when they will be called, their chairs will turn green." Ryan explains. Ryan announced some of the contestants that made it through and there were a couple more of contestants who still haven't been called. "Moving on to makes it through to the top 11..." Ryan starts to says and opens his envelope. "Next to make it through is......" Ryan says with the dramatic pause. "Daniel Seavey." Ryan says and Daniel's chair turned green. Everyone clapped and cheered. Daniel stood up smiling and hugged Payton and hugged everyone else. Daniel smiles and goes up on stage. He sets up with his guitar that Payton gave him and the pick and starts playing Happy by Pharell Williams. He did a wonderful performance and everyone clapped and cheered.
"Danny!" Harry laughs imitating Payton. Daniel laughs and looks at Payton laughing. "Hi!" Daniel smiles. "I'm just gonna say that, this was your strongest performance and I loved seeing your energy with your new guitar." Harry says. "Which by the way...." Harry turns to Payton and she laughs. "It's a beautiful guitar! Good job!" Harry yells over at Payton and laughs. "Oh jeez." JLo laughs. Harry turns back to Daniel and Daniel smiles. "Back to the point, you're a very talented young man and you did great." Harry finishes. "Thank you so much." Daniel smiles. "What amazes me the most is that, you're always with a certain person all the time and you time to practice your music and you rock it." Keith starts to say. "Cause you know, a lot of people get to focused on a person and never have time to actually enjoy what they love. But with you, it's not like. And I like it!" Keith smiles. "Thank you guys so much." Daniel smiles. Everyone claps and Ryan walks out. "Daniel, when was the first time you watched American Idol?" Ryan asks. "Probably when I was 3." Daniel smiles. "Well look at you now!" Ryan smiles. "It's crazy!" Daniel laughs. "Well, go take your seat and congrats."
Ryan smiles. Daniel smiles and walks back to his seat. Everyone hugs him and Payton kisses him and the cameras caught them.
