It was the night when the top 24 perform and it was gonna be a long night. The top 12 boys performed first and then the top 12 girls perform.
Payton walks over to Daniels dressing room. "Everyone decent in there?!" Payton knocks and yells outside of the dressing room. Trevor opens the door and laughs. "Hey Trev!!!!" Payton hugs Trevor. "What's up?" Trev lets Payton in. "Nervous...you excited?" Payton asks. "Yea I little....but I'll be fine." Trevor smiles. "Hey there Pay!" Daniel walks out. "Danny boy!" Payton smiles and hugs Daniel. "You ready?" Payton asks. "Yep. We go on on like 10 minutes and I get more nervous each minute." Daniel says. "Aww you'll do great I know it!" Payton smiles. "Thanks. You'll do great too! I can't wait!" Daniel smiles. "Thanks! Well I'm gonna go. Good luck on stage to both of you!" Payton tells Daniel and Trevor. "Later." Trevor hugs Payton. "Later Danny!" Payton hugs Daniel and gives him a good luck kiss. Payton leaves and walks to her dressing room. "She's a keeper." Trevor tells Daniel. "Dude it's only been 4 days." Daniel says. "Why can't you guys official already?!" Trevor whines. "Chill out man. I'll ask her when we are both ready." Daniel laughs. "You guys already kiss. Everyone that's blowing you guys up on social media wants you guys together. Daniel, even the camera crew caught you guys together." Trevor laughs. "Look Trev, when the time is right it will be official. If everyone thinks we are official now then it's fine. It's not "official" official." Daniel says. "Alright, but you guys need to hurry!" Trevor says and Daniel laughs. "Come on let's get backstage." Daniel says. Trevor and Daniel walk backstage and the girls are in the crowd. The show started and Ryan introduced the judges and everything. Ryan first introduced Clark Beckham, Trevor Douglas, Mark Andrew and Adam Ezegelian. "We are gonna keep it moving here with our youngest contestant." Ryan starts to say and the girls screamed. "Daniel Seavey." Ryan laughs
Daniels Intro
"I'm a pretty confident guy. I met great people in this competition and I've became very close to them." then they showed footage with Daniel and Payton and the other contestants. "I've became close with everyone but mostly Payton. Ok, just to confirm, we aren't officially dating..." Daniel starts to say. "We went on a couple dates this past week." Daniel blushes. Then they showed the pictures and video from Payton and Daniels Twitter. "We post a lot of pictures together. And we like to hang out a lot."Daniel laughs. "But overall I'm just glad that I've connected with everyone and to be in the top 24 and I'm gonna try my best in this competition." Daniel finishes.
After Daniel's intro, he started to play and he sang I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. Everyone in the crowd was jamming and singing along with Daniel. He finally finishes and everyone applauds. "Daniel!" Keith says. "Hi!" Daniel smiles. "That was a great song for you and you did a great job." Keith tells. "Thank you!" Daniel smiles. "You're very talented Daniel and you sang this song brilliantly and your performance was amazing and I can't wait to see how you do." JLo tells Daniel and Daniel smiles. "So you and Vaughns huh?" Harry says and everyone laughs and Daniel blushes. "Harry! Stop doing that!" Keith tells harry. "What? It's adorable." Harry laughs. "Is that who you pointed to up there during the chorus?" Harry asks. "Ummmm." Daniel blushes. "Just say yes." Harry says and Daniel laughs. "Back to the point, it's was great! You know this is the night where America first starts voting and I'm gonna be honest, I feel bad for America because they have such a talented young man." Harry smiles. "Thank you!" Daniel smiles. "Hey Payton!" Harry looks up at the stands and sees Payton. "He's a keeper!" Harry yells over at Payton and Payton laughs. Daniel blushes and Ryan comes out. "That's enough harry." Ryan laughs. "Good job Daniel, you go back there and chill for a bit." Ryan points backstage. "Thank you!" Daniel waves and heads backstage. Ryan introduced the rest of the top 12 boys and they performed and they went to break. Then after the break, the top 12 girls perform.
During the break, Payton met with Trevor and Adam backstage. "You guys did awesome! Trevor that was amazing and Adam you rocked it!" Payton tells Adam. "Thanks! And I feel bad for you about the whole harry thing mentioning you are Daniel." Adam laughs. "Oh it's no problem." Payton smiles. "Hey we should get going, good luck pay!" Trevor hugs Payton. Payton talks with Joey and Shannon backstage and Daniel sneaks out behind her scaring her and video taping. "DANNY!" Payton says scared. "Just wanted to say good luck!" Daniel tells Payton and stops recording for a second. "Are you vining?" Payton asks laughing. "Yep! Just making memories!" Daniel laughs. "Hey, I have a few seconds left...be in the last clip?" Daniel asks. "Yea sure." Payton smiles. Daniel holds down the record button and starts recording the last 3 seconds. "Vote for Payton!!" Daniel says in the camera and Payton smiles. then daniel kisses Payton on the cheek and runs away leaving Payton laughing. "I wanna see it!!" Payton tells Daniel.
"DANNY! Just wanted to say good luck! Vote for Payton!!!! *kisses cheek 😚 and runs away*

"Aww that's cute." Payton says and Daniel smiles. "Alright I'll get going, good luck!" Daniel hugs Payton.
The girls show started and Ryan introduced Maddie, Joey, Jax and then Adanna. After Adanna, it was Payton's turn. "Next we have our youngest girl contestant..." Ryan starts to say. All the girls in the crowd cheered. "Payton Vaughns." Ryan laughs
Payton's intro
"I love being in this competition. Everyone is like family and I love every single one of them." Payton starts. "My social media is like blowing up with me and Daniel saying that we are together and we are a couple and stuff like that." Payton laughs. "Here's the thing!" Payton starts to say. "'Daniel and I do like each other, we have been out on a few "dates", but no, we are not officially dating." Payton says. They then showed the same pictures and videos from Payton and Daniels Twitter and showed footage of them at In N Out Burger. "But yea I love everyone on here, I just love everything thing being here on American Idol I'm really excited and I'm gonna do my best!" Payton smiles.
Payton's intro finishes and she's on the stage ready to sing. Payton starts to sing Love Me Harder by Ariana Grande. She f!inishes and everyone claps. "Payton!!" Keith laughs. "Hello!" Payton smiles. "That was one of the best performances I've ever heard." Keith smiles. "Thank you!" Payton smiles. "Ariana Grande is hard to do but you were able fit it in your vocal range and it was perfect!" Keith explains. "Thank you!" Payton smiles. "I loved it! I loved the song! I loved your voice! I loved everything about it." JLo smiles. "Ok now we are just gonna skip harry so Ryan you can come out now!" JLo jokingly says and Payton laughs. "What if I wanna say something?!" Harry says all defensive. "Face it harry, we all know it's gonna be something about her and Daniel so no!" JLo tells harry. "Payton that was a great performance!" Harry starts to say. "It was powerful and heartfelt and it was great!" Harry says. "Thank you!" Payton laughs. "And I'm also just gonna start a petition for duets so you and Daniel could sing together." Harry jokes. "OK HARRY!" Keith stops harry and laughs. Ryan comes out on stage and tells Payton to go backstage.

Everyone performed and finished and the show was ready for the next week! Payton met Daniel back at the hotel and they walked around the hotel. "You did awesome!" Daniel tells Payton. "Thanks Danny! You did awesome as well!" Payton smiles. "Haha sorry about Harry and everything." Daniel awkwardly laughs. "Why are you sorry?" Payton asks. "Well it's because he brought us up on national TV when we aren't together yet." Daniel explains. "Well Danny you don't have to sorry for that." Payton laughs. "Look, I don't care what anybody says about us ok? I like you and that's it. You're amazing!" Payton tells Daniel and smiles. "Payton, I like you a lot. I really love being around you and I can't stop thinking about you." Daniel stops in front of Payton. "I wanna be official already! I want the whole world to know how much I appreciate having you in my life." Daniel takes Payton's hands. "Those pictures we took the other day and the ones we posted are my favorites by far." Daniel smiles. "I wanna kiss you in pictures. And it's actually a kiss where it shows how much I care about you." Daniel says. "What are you trying to say Danny?" Payton laughs.
"I want you to officially be my girlfriend." Daniel looks into Payton's eyes.
Payton smiles and looks at Daniel. "Why me?" Payton asks. "Because Payton, you're beautiful, talented amazing and many more. Words can't explain." Daniel smiles. "You have millions of girls out there who want you though." Payton says. "And out of those millions, I want you." Daniel smiles. Payton sighs and smiles "I'd love to!" Payton smiles and hugs Daniel. They let go and look at each other. They leaned in and shared a kiss. They felt fireworks and that's the feeling when you know they are the one. "Awwwww!" Alexis, Jax and Trevor sneak up on the two. Daniel and Payton break the kiss and laugh. "This is too cute." Alexis shows Daniel and Payton the picture that she took of them kissing. "I like it." Payton smiles. "Post it." Daniel looks at Payton. Alexis smiles and posted the picture. Payton checked her phone and looked at the picture. "They are official!!!! ☺️💜👏" the caption read and Payton and Daniel tagged. Payton and Daniel saved the picture and posted it on their accounts. "It's true...we are officially together. 😘☺️" Payton captioned and tagged Daniel. "Oops. Got caught ❤️" Daniel captioned and tagged Payton.

Daniel and Payton were finally together and everyone in the competition supported them and fans on Twitter supported them as well. They were happy.
