The Best Birthday

It was about 12 in the morning and Jax was watching tv alone. She hears the door open and looks to see Payton walking in with red eyes. "Payton!" Jax stands up and runs over to Payton. "Where were you?!" Jax asks. "Around town." Payton answers. "Doing what?" Jax asks. "Well I had to get some pictures printed and a buttload of balloons and streamers and I had to arrange things." Payton explains. "And I stopped somewhere to make this." Payton holds up a sign that she made for Daniel. "Aw that's so cute!" Jax smiles. "I'm gonna need you, Tyanna and Joey to help me." Payton says. "For what?" Jax asks. "Well I need help blowing up these balloons and I have a plan for Daniel's birthday." Payton tells Jax. "Ohh tell me!" Jax jumps up and down. "Ok but first we need Joey and Tyanna." Payton says standing up. Jax and Payton walk to Tyanna and Joey's room and knock and Joey answers the door. "Where were you?!?" Joey whispers yell. "I'll explain later but I need you and Tyanna to come to our room." Payton says. "Ok hold on." Joey walks back in to Tyanna's bed. "T!" Joey shakes Tyanna. "Wake up!" Joey jumps on her bed. "Whattttt?" Tyanna groans. "We need to go to Jax's room." Joey says. "Whyyyyy?" Tyanna whines. "She'll explain get up!" Joey pulls the sheets off of Tyanna. "Fine!" Tyanna gets up and looks at the doorway and sees Jax and Payton. "Payton?" Tyanna stands up. "Hey T!" Payton smiles. "We've been worried sick! Daniel had a panic attack." Tyanna laughs. "Aww poor Danny come one I need you and your help!" Payton pulls Tyanna and leads her to Payton and Jaxs room. "So why are we here?" Joey asks. "So I was around town getting stuff for Daniels birthday surprise so I made this sign and got balloons." Payton holds up the sign and inflated balloons. "Aww cute! What are we gonna do with the balloons?" Tyanna asks. "We are gonna blow them up, and then early in the morning, we are gonna scatter them around Daniels room." Payton explains. "Won't he wake up?" Jax asks. "He's a heavy sleeper." Payton laughs. The girls blowed up the balloons all night until it was like 4 in the morning.

Around 8 am, the girls went to Daniels rooms and scatters the balloons everywhere. "Looks good." Payton smiles at room and looks at the sleeping Daniel. "What's this?" Nick wakes up. "Shhh. Come here." Payton whispers motioning Nick to quietly walk over. Nick gets out of bed trying not to pop any balloons or wake up Daniel. "Why balloons and streamers?!" Nick asks. "It's for Danny's birthday stupid." Payton laughs. "Oh yea happy birthday by the way." Nick smiles. "Thanks! Hey I need you to do me favor." Payton looks at Nick. "Sure what's up?" Nick smiles. "I want you to wake up Daniel and then text me when he's up. Can you do that?" Payton asks. "No problem. How do I wake him up?" Nick asks. "That's all you Fradiani." Payton pats Nick on the back and leaves with Jax and the girls. Nick looks around and sees all the colorful balloons and streamers trying to find a way to wake up Daniel. He sees a fork from the corner of his eye and he had an idea. He sneaks over to grab the fork and picks up a balloon. He walks over to the side of Daniels bed and positions the balloon in his face. With a balloon in one hand and the fork in another, Nick quickly pops the balloon in Daniels face waking him up. Daniel loudly gasps and sits up out of breath. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!" Nick yells. "What's all this?" Daniel smiles. "A surprise." Nick pulls out his phone and texts Payton. "From who?" Daniel asks. "Your Twizzler!" Nick smiles. "Twizzler?" Daniel asks confused. "Oh Payton!!!!" Daniel snaps his mind. "Payton!! She's back?!?!?!" Daniel looks around. "Yea man." Nick smiles. "Why didn't Jax wake me up?!" Daniel gets out of bed and steps on a balloon. He popped the balloon and he screamed like a little girl and jumped in his bed and Nick laughs. There was a knock on the door signaling that Payton was there. Daniel looks at Nick and raises an eyebrow. Nick smiles and shrugs and Daniel heads his way to the door. Daniel opens the door and sees Payton there standing there with a gift wrapped and a her sign with balloons taped to it. The sign said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY!" Spelled out with pictures of the two together. Daniel smiles and sees Jax behind Payton recording. "Happy birthday Danny." Payton smiles. Daniel smiles and hugs Payton picking her up and twirling her around. "Awwww!" Jax gushes and stops recording. "What's this?" Daniel puts Payton down. "Your present! Open." Payton hands Daniel his gift. Daniel smiles and walks in the room followed by Payton and Jax. He sits down and opens his gift. He opened it and pulled out a scrapbook that Payton made of the two. "This is so cool!" Daniel smiles flipping through all the pages. "You like it?" Payton asks. "I love it." Daniel smiles and kisses Payton. "Now I need to get yours." Daniel smiles getting up looking for Payton's present. He moves the balloons out of the way and pulls out the gift. "It's not much but here" Daniel says handing Payton a small box. She unwraps the paper and opens the box. It revealed a custom made dog tag necklace with a picture of Payton and Daniel. On the back was the date of their birthday since they share the same birthday. "I love it Danny." Payton smiles and hugs Daniel. "Why are you guys so cute?" Jax smiles. Daniel and Payton look at Jax and laugh. "Here let me put it on." Daniel takes the necklace and wraps it around Payton's neck. "Thank you Danny." Payton smiles and hugs Daniel. "So! Who's down for some birthday breakfast?" Daniel stands up. "I'll get ready." Payton laughs. "I'll text everyone and we'll meet downstairs." Jax says taking out her phone. "Awesome cool! Um sorry about the balloons and stuff I'll help clean later." Payton tells Daniel. "Don't be sorry." Daniel looks at the room. "I love it." Daniel looks at payton and kisses her forehead. "I'll see you later. Happy birthday." Payton smiles and kisses Daniel and leaves. Daniel pulls out his phone and takes a picture of the room with the balloons and streamers. "Great way to wake up on this beautiful day😜" Daniel captioned the picture and tagged Payton.
Everyone met downstairs and had their last breakfast together with Daniel. The breakfast ended and Daniel and Payton headed back to their rooms. "Hey I'm gonna take a quick nap is that alright?" Payton asks. "Yea that's fine! I'll clean up the balloons and everything." Daniel smiles. "Are you sure you don't need help?" Payton asks. "Yes! My dad will help me." Daniel walks towards Payton. "Gets some rest ok? I know you had a tough night." Daniel kisses Payton. "Alright, I'll call you and we'll make our plans for dinner tonight." Payton smiles. "Sounds great." Daniel smiles. Payton heads back to her room and scrolls through her Twitter real quick. She sees all these birthday tweets and videos and she smiles.

"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand..." Payton hears a voice in her sleep. "But I still need love cause I'm just a man..." Payton opens her eyes and listens. "These nights never seem to go to plan.." Payton hears again and she smiles knowing its Daniel. "I don't want you to leave will you hold my hand..." Daniel sings and Payton looks up at Daniel and smiles. She sits up and listens to Daniel sing to her. "Oh won't you, stay with me...cause you're all I need.." Daniel looks at Payton and smiles. Payton lays her head on Daniels shoulder and closes her eyes. "This ain't love it's clear to see..but darling stay with me.." Daniel continues. He finishes the song and smiles. Payton looks up and Daniel and blushes. "It's gonna be so different when you won't be around." Payton looks at Daniel. "I know but everything will be ok. I'll talk to you everyday and I'll watch you everyday." Daniel hugs Payton. "I'm gonna miss you Danny." Payton looks into Daniels eyes. "I'm gonna miss you more." Daniel smiles and hugs Payton. "You wanna help pack?" Daniel asks breaking the hug. "Of course." Payton smiles and stands up. Her and Daniel walk to his room and she helps pack. "So what time do you wanna go to dinner?" Daniel asks. "Well it depends on what time you leave tonight.." Payton says. "My dads got that information I don't know where he is." Daniel laughs and there was a knock on the door. "Hey guys!" Daniels mom walks in followed by his dad. "Hi mom! Hi dad!" Daniel smiles. "How are you two doing?" Daniels dad asks. "We were just talking about dinner." Daniel answers. "Well we leave here around 10 so do you wanna go out at 5?" Daniels mom suggests. "That sounds perfect Mrs. Seavey." Payton smiles. "Great well we were just checking in and we wanted to say happy birthday to you Payton." Daniel's mom smiles at Payton. "Thank you Mr and Mrs. Seavey." Payton smiles. "Please just call us Keri and Jeff." Daniel's dad smiles and Payton giggles. "Well we'll leave you two packing and we will see you at 5" Daniels mom smiles and leaves. "Your parents are the best." Payton tells Daniel. "I know. They kinda get weird around a girl I'm with." Daniel laughs. "Well I think it's sweet." Payton kisses Daniel on the cheek. "Hey look what I found!" Daniel pulls out his hoodie. "That was my favorite from yours." Payton turns around. "I remember I wore it on our first date. It's so soft." Payton laughs. "I want you to keep it." Daniel hands Payton his hoodie. "Are you sure?" Payton asks. "Yea! A little reminder of me when I'm away." Daniel smiles. "Thanks Danny." Payton smiles and takes his hoodie. "Put it on I wanna picture." Daniel smiles. Payton laughs and puts the hoodie on. She posses for a picture and Daniel took it. "Cute." Daniel smiles at the photo. "Hey I think there's something of mine in there, can you check?" Daniel asks Payton and he records her. Payton reaches in the front hoodie and pulls out an envelope with her name on it. She smiles and looks up to see Daniel recording her. "You're pulling another Daniel?!" Payton laughs. "Just open." Daniel smiles. Payton opens the envelope and looks at the piece of paper inside. "Airplane tickets?" Payton laughs. "To what?" Payton asks. "Those are tickets to Washington. They are used for whatever date." Daniel explains. Payton gasps and laughs. "No way." Payton laughs. "Promise me you'll visit though." Daniel says. "Awwww of course Danny." Payton tears up and hugs Daniel. Daniel faces the camera to him and Payton. "Happy birthday Twizzler." Daniel says. "Happy birthday Danny." Payton smiles to the camera and kisses Daniel. Daniel stops recording and smiles. "This has probably been the best birthday ever." Payton smiles. "Just know whatever happens and you need me, I'm a phone call away." Daniel tells Payton and kisses her. "Thank you..Daniel for everything. You made me the happiest girl on the planet." Payton looks at Daniel. "I'm here anytime. And just know that." Daniel smiles at Payton and kisses her. "I love you." Daniel looks into Payton's eyes. Payton tears up and smiles knowing it was their first "I love you" they had since they've been together for 2 months. "I love you too." Payton smiles and tears. Daniel wipes away Payton's tears and kisses her forehead.
Payton and Daniel went out to dinner with Daniels parents and Payton's friends. "Thank you Keri and Jeff for this wonderful birthday dinner." Payton thanks Daniels parents. "No problem Payton." Jeff smiles. "Let's have a toast to the birthday couple!" Payton's friend, Lulu stands up. "Yea!" Everyone stands up and clink their glasses together. "Can I say something?" Daniel stands up. "Sure sweetie go ahead." Daniel's mom smiles. "I would just like to say, that this has been an amazing journey for me. I've met wonderful people who I grew with and became a family with." Daniel looks down at Payton. "Especially my Twizzler." Daniel smiles and Payton blushes. "Awwwww!" Lulu gushes and his parents smiles. "This wouldn't have been the best thing ever if it wasn't for you." Daniel looks at Payton. "You made me happy. You made me strong. You made me the person I am right now. I wouldn't be anywhere without the support from you. We may be 16 now, but that won't stop us from the couple we are right now. And I love you." Daniel finishes looking at Payton. Payton tears up and stands up to hug Daniel. Everyone claps and Payton kisses Daniel. "Would you like to come to the airport with us?" Daniels mom asks Payton. "If it's not too much trouble." Payton says. "No not at all, please come." Daniel's dad smiles. "Then I'd love to." Payton smiles and looks at Daniel.
