Chasing Stars (Daniel Seavey)

First "Date"

Everyone was in their hotel rooms getting ready for dinner. Payton was roomed with Jax and Daniel was roomed with Trevor.
"Hey Trevor?!" Daniel knocks on the door. Trevor walks over to the door and opens it. "Hey little man.." Trevor smiles. Daniel smiles and walks in with a bouquet of flowers. "What's with the uhhhh..." Trevor asks about the flowers pointing at them. "Oh well I wanted to get something for Payton to congratulate her so I picked up some flowers." Daniel smiles. "Aww too cute!" Trevor laughs. "And uhh I also want to ask her out." Daniel shyly says. "Oh my gosh Daniel yes!" Trevor smiles. "You think I should?" Daniel asks. "Of course dude! She does like you!" Trevor says. "Really?!" Daniel smiles. ."Yea man, she told me once we were back in Texas when i was over." Trevor smiles. "Then I'm gonna ask her out!!!!" Daniel stands up and walks to the door. "Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!" Trevor stops Daniel. "What?" Daniel asks confused. "Let me work some of my magic." Trevor says. "What do you mean?" Daniel asks. "I have a plan." Trevor points out. "Well don't just stand there geek and tell me!" Daniel laughs. "Ok, I'm gonna text Payton and tell her that she left her wallet down in the lobby." Trevor starts to say. "I'll be in the lobby distracting her while you go to her and Jax's room.." Trevor says. "And give these flowers to Jax to give to Payton??" Daniel asks. "Nah...that won't work. Trevor thinks. "Ok. when they leave the hotel room, your gonna tell Jax, to tell Payton that she left something in the room." Trevor says. "I see where your going.." Daniel says catching on. "So while that's happening, you're gonna sneak in their room and put the flowers in there and then you're gonna run out. So when Payton walks in, she's gonna get the flowers and the note!" Trevor finishes. "That's too complicated!!!!!!" Daniel whines. "You can do it ok?" Trevor tells Daniel. "When Payton leaves, just tell Jax the plan." Trevor says. "Alright I can do this." Daniel says putting down the flowers and walks to a mirror and gives himself a pep talk. "You can do this Daniel! Don't act like a fool! You're a man, not a boy. Alright, let's do this! For Payton." Daniel finishes and slaps the mirror like he's slapping himself. "Ok enough let's go!" Trevor laughs. Daniel and Trevor walk to Payton and Jax's room and hide behind a corner. "Alright dude, I'm gonna go to the lobby and text Payton. Once she's out and you don't see her anymore, tell Jax the plan ok?" Trevor tells Daniel. "Alright got it!" Daniel says. "Cool! Text me when you're finished." Trevor pats Daniel on the back and leaves.
Daniel waits a minute and sees Payton leaving the hotel room and once she's gone, Daniel knocks on the door and Jax answers. "Hey Daniel! You just missed Payton." Jax says to Daniel. "I know. Hey can you do me the hugest favor?" Daniel asks Jax. "Sure what is it?" Jax asks. "Well ok, I'm gonna ask out Payton..." Daniel starts to say. "Really?!?!?" Jax smiles. "Yea.." Daniel blushes. "Awwww." Jax smiles. "So when we all go out to dinner tonight, when you guys leave your room, tell Payton that you left something in the room and so she can get it." Daniel says. "I think i could do that." Jax nods. "Cool, so I'm gonna need a extra room key so when you guys leave I can get in and put the flowers in." Daniel says. "Yea hold on." Jax says going back in the room to grab the extra key. "Awesome thanks Jax! I'll text when its all set and that would be your cue to tell her." Daniel says. "Alright! I can do that!" Jax smiles. "Thanks Jax you're the best!" Daniel smiles and leaves to text Trevor.

"Oh crap!" Payton complains. "What?" Jax asks looking at Payton. "Trevor texted saying I left my wallet in the lobby." Payton says looking at her phone. "Do you want me to get it for you?" Jax offers. "No it's ok. I'll get it, thanks though." Payton smiles and walks to the door. "No problem!" Jax smiles. Payton leaves. Payton walks down to the lobby and see Trevor. "Hey Trevor!" Payton smiles. "Hey Pay!" Trevor smiles back. "So where's my wallet?" Payton asks. "Huh?" Trevor asked confused. "My wallet. You texted saying I left it down here." Payton laughs. "Oh did I say wallet? I meant.." Trevor tried to make something up. "Water!" Trevor says handing his water bottle to Payton. "Ok.... Thanks?" Payton laughs. "So how are you and Daniel?" Trevor asks. "Is that why you wanted me down here?!" Payton asks. "No...psh." Trevor stalls. "Trevor...." Payton gives Trevor the death glare. "No! I'm just curious!" Trevor puts his hands up in defense. Payton just laughs. "Well what do you wanna know?" Payton laughs. "Do you like him?" Trevor asks. "I told you already Mr Bill Nye." Payton laughs and turns around. "PAYTON LIKES DANIEL!!!" Trevor yells in the lobby. "Trevor!!!!!" Payton runs to Trevor to cover his mouth. "What?? I'm just letting everyone know!" Trevor laughs. "I don't want anyone to know! You told me you won't tell anyone!" Payton laughs. "You know he likes you." Trevor sing songs. "Stop lying." Payton blushes. "I'm not! He does." Trevor smiles. "It's like he'll never go out with me." Payton says. "Hey don't say that!" Trevor says. "Why can't I? It's true!" Payton laughs. "Come on now stop. He likes you. You're talented, beautiful and smart!" Trevor says. "Thanks Trev but he's cute and he's already got a fan base and I'm just...normal." Payton says. "Stop. None of that's true. I mean, yea he's got a fan base already but it's just the beginning. There's already a fan account that ships you and Daniel with a lot of followers." Trevor says. "Really?" Payton asks. "Yea look." Trevor pulls out his phone and shows Payton the account. "Wow.." Payton looks at it. "Yea, it shows all the pictures of you and Daniel and even GIFS of you hugging." Trevor laugh. "That's quite shocking." Payton laughs. "But Trevor I'm falling for a guy I barley know, has thousands of girls drooling over him, and he doesn't really like me. He may like me as a friend but nothing more." Payton laughs. "It's just stupid." Payton scoffs. "No it's not Pay, it's normal for any other fangirl. But trust me, he's an awesome guy and a lot of people already ship you guys." Trevor mentions. Payton sighs. "What's today?" Payton asks. "It's friday." Trevor answers. "The house of blues showcase episode airs on Wednesday and the top 24 chosen is on Thursday right?" Payton asks. "Yea why?" Trevor asks. "I'll have to watch those episodes if my feelings are real, which they probably are. Because the camera people caught a lot of footage with Daniel and I" Payton explains. "We'll just have to wait." Trevor looks around. "Trev, is there something you know that I don't." Payton asks suspiciously. "No of course not!" Trevor laughs. Payton just shakes it off. "Well, thanks Trev. For the whole Daniel thing." Payton says. "No problem I'm here anytime." Trevor hugs Payton. Trevor hears his phone saying he got a text. It was from Daniel saying he's done talking to Jax. "Well got to go. Talk to you later bye!" Trevor says bye and runs away. "Yep something's going on." Payton says to herself.

"Jax you ready?" Payton asks. "Uh yep!" Jax smiles. "Cool. Everyone else is downstairs so let's get going." Payton says walking to the door followed by Jax. They leave the room and Daniel quickly unlocked the hotel door and went inside. He set the flowers on the desk next to the window with a note. He quickly left and texted Jax. "All set. Your turn!" Daniel texted Jax.
Jax and Payton were almost at the elevators and Jax got Daniels text. "Oh shoot, I left my money at the room." Jax says. "Do you want my to go get it for you?" Payton offers. "If it's not any trouble." Jax smiles. "No not at all! I know where you keep it so it's no worry." Payton smiles. "Alright, I'll stay right here." Jax stops. "K I'll be right back." Payton says walking away to the room. She takes the key and opens the door. Right when she opened the door, she sees a bouquet of flowers and she smiled. She walks over to the flowers and sees a card with "PAYTON" on the front and a rose taped to the envelope. She opens the envelope and reads the card. "Congratulations on making it through. Meet me by the hotel fountain for a celebration? ~Daniel :)" Payton reads. "Aw" Payton smiles. "Jax." Payton laughs knowing she was in on it. She takes the card with the rose and walks out the door and walks over to Jax. "Well I didn't find any money but i did get these from a little 15 year old." Payton smiles. "Too cute! What does it say?" Jax asks walking to the elevator. Payton shows Jax the card and Jax smiles. "So I guess you guys are gonna have your own little night." Jax says walking into the elevator followed by Payton. "I guess. I hope you guys don't mind." Payton says. "Don't worry about it. Daniel told everyone." Jax smiles. "Wait, so everyone was in on this?!" Payton asks laughing. "Yep!" Jax laughs. "That boy." Payton laughs. Jax and Payton got out the elevator. "Well you guys have fun. See you later." Jax tells Payton and hugs her. "Thank you! Have fun!" Payton let's go and her and Jax went in different directions. The rest of the contestants went to dinner and Payton tried to find Daniel. She finds the hotel fountain and sees Daniel next to it. "You are insane I tell you." Payton walks over to Daniel and smiles. "Hey you got the flowers!" Daniel smiles. "Yep I did and they were beautiful thank you!" Payton smiles. "No problem, so you ready?" Daniel asks. "Where we going?" Payton asks. "Well somewhere where there aren't any cameras." Daniel points over a camera filming footage for an American Idol episode. "Yea lets go." Payton laughs. Daniel held out his hand for Payton. Payton smiles and took his hand and she set her card and rose at the front and they took a walk at the park.

This was the night that Daniel and Payton get to know each other more and every minute they got closer. They shared some hugs and laughs.
