A LIE AT THE BEACH

Chapter Two: Athens.

I rush towards the living room and see her, wow she's still the same tall, beautiful, skinny but curvy girl.

"Holy shit am I dreaming or what?!" Jillian screams after seeing me.

"Hey Jilliannn" I say with a big smile on my face.

"Athensss" she screams while running towards me and we hug so tight that we can't breathe as we giggle loudly. "I'm so happy to see you bitch you have no idea" she continues. "I'm happy to see you too cuz!" I say. "Oh girl we have a lot to catch up on---I missed you so much" Jillian cries. "I missed you too." I laugh as I drag her to the kitchen to say hi to my mom.

"Aunttt!" Jillian is so loud. "Hello Jill my sexy model" my mom always called her a model ever since we were kids because she's always been small. "Aw aunt still lovely as ever___how have you been? I missed you so much."

"I'm fine and I missed you more___how are you baby?" My mom replies.

"I'm okay just exhausted from hanging out with the girls."

"Girls huh__" a deep voice says and we look up to see Jordan in all his mighty glory. "Hey Jordan!" I say. "Athens!!!" Of course he hadn't noticed me with his giant height. "How are you cuz? When did you get here?" "I'm good and today afternoon" I answer. "How are you Jordan?" "I'm good as usual." he says with a smirk. Yeahh he never changes. He greets my mom as well and then goes upstairs to his room.

"Hey, I'll go freshen up then we can talk. " Jill says to me and I agree.

Two hours later, the table is set with food on it and everyone is settled. Uncle Jeff came back an hour ago and welcomed my mom and I so well in his home. Everyone starts serving the food of their choice and we begin to eat in a peaceful silence.
My mom speaks up first "So Jill how's campus?" "It's quite alright, you know tough but fun at the same time." She replies. "That's nice. How about you Jordan___how's work?" my mom continues. "Work's great really___" he says. "That's good."

"And how about my favourite cuz?" Jill asks with a wry smile. She knows I don't like talking about school stuff. I jokingly glare at her and she winks at me. "Everything's great, thank you." I say with finality.
We continue to eat in peace as mom, aunt and uncle Jeff talk among themselves. Dinner's over and Jill and I clean up then head upstairs to my room.

"Sooo girls' night woohooo!!!" Jill shouts and I shush her while laughing. "Well, grub the chips, ice cream and everything, I'll pick the movies." I say and she goes downstairs to the kitchen as I look through the best movies on netflix using the screen pinned on the bedroom wall. Jill comes back a few minutes later and we sit on my bed. We both agree on Avengers End game___we've always loved the Avengers dammit personally I'm a sucker for iron man and Jill for captain America. It's for three hours so we both get comfortable. We watch the movie as we also comment on the cool scenes.

The three hours move so fast but apparently slowly for Jill since she sleeps through half the movie. I softly laugh at that and wake her up.

"What?" Jill groans when I tap her. "Wake up__the movie is done." "Oh okay, sorry I slept off." "Naa it's okay. I didn't notice." I say just to kill her guilt.

"Yeah right." she says catching on.

"Alright what time is it?" she asks. "It's past midnight" I reply. "I'll sleep here tonight then." Jill says as she scoots under the covers of my bed and I follow in step as I do the same. I switch of the lights and say goodnight to Jill. "Goodnight b" she replies.

We wake up to noise from downstairs as Aunt Jolly and mom make breakfast in the kitchen. I go into the bathroom and Jill shouts "Good morning to you too bitch." I laugh loudly. I'm not used to greeting people in the morning. I wake up to an empty house back at home as parents be gone for work.

I brush my teeth and get into the shower. I wash my hair and few minutes later I'm done showering completely. I step out and grab a pair of sweatpants and hoodie. I wear them and go downstairs with my wet hair in a bun. Jill left my room and went to hers to freshen up as well.

When I come down, I find her there on the L-shaped couch scrolling through her instagram. I plop down next to her hitting her with my wet hair accidentally.

"Hey!" she glares at me.

"Sorry." I reply.

"So tell me how's your man?" Jill asks. I look up at her "Well, that was abrupt...." She shrugs simply. "Tell me."

"Well....." I start. Jill and I are so close that I can't hide anything from her even if I wanted. Jill waits patiently. "He and I broke up." I say with a grimace. "What?!!" she gapes. "Yepp....two months ago. It was really fucked up." I say. "Explain." Jill says while putting her phone down. I groan.

"Fine I'll tell you. It happened on Valentine's day or night, whatever. He picked me up from home and we went to some downtown hotel.....something simple. It was nice but it all went down the drain when a random girl came and claimed that he was her boyfriend and he forgot to pick her up for dinner! Imagine the shock I had." I say with a small laugh. Jill is still too shocked to blink and the funny part is she hasn't heard the best part yet. I continue. "So....I looked at Mike, my boyfriend and he looked like he had just seen a ghost." I had been suspecting him of cheating with all the many calls and texts he got in the middle of the night whenever I slept over at his place. He used to walk out whenever he got one of those. I kept an open mind though....until that happened. "So this chic is pregnant too.....yes pregnant." Jill looks like she's going to faint. "Oh my God that was.......painful. I even don't know what to say Athens. I'm so sorry." "Nuhh, I'm fine now so can I continue?" I say without any emotion.
"Y...yeah I mean if you want to." Jill says unsurely. I squeeze her hand to tell her I'm fine then I continue. "He didn't deny it....he simply looked at me and said he was sorry then held the hand of the chic and left without saying another word to me." I finish then I keep quiet.I actually used to think those things only happened in the movies but shock on me. I think Jill is speechless so she just hugs me and I don't refuse. We remain that way until mum announces...

"Hey girls, it's time for breakfast."
