Queen of Yaana? Queen of Yaana? What actually did happen here? I was barely able to accumulate or stabilize my thoughts, they were all over the place. Did Shuaya finally get the throne and married Y/n? Or did Y/n overpower them all by herself? What is happening? I masked my expressions with a smile and tried to enquire.

"Right, I don't mean anything. So how come you're on the throne, Your Majesty?"

Y/n didn't move or respond, she kept her eyes trained above me, staring at a spot, unblinkingly. Something's really very off about her.

"You know," I start saying, moving closer to her, weaving through the pillars, "I still can't believe I met you. Here. Like this." I chuckled, "Honestly, I was under the impression that you're on Midgard, back in your house. All of this is...quite a surprise. A good one, that is."

By now I had walked to just short of her throne. The throne wasn't placed on a very high position and was accessible enough. She still didn't move or blink and by now it was perfectly clear to me that this woman in front of me isn't my Y/n.

"I've been trying to talk to you, but you test me." I slipped out a knife and threw it at her face. In an unblinking moment, she caught it with her hand right in front of her face. The blade had cut open her palms and thick blood drops dripped unto her white gown. She didn't flinch and kept staring ahead.

My patience broke.

"Y/n! This isn't you! You're not the same woman whom I brought to Asgard months ago. Aren't you hurt? Doesn't it pain?!" My voice came out shrill and desperate, like on the verge of breaking.

Her vow of silence finally broke, "You must know and learn to get used to the pain you know you can't stop feeling."

This isn't her. These aren't her words! Y/n would never. She couldn't say anything like that. It's too...too broken. She's my brave love. My fierce companion. To say something like that, she'll have to have go through ordeals worse than Hell. No. No. Y/n is safe, this is just...an illusion. Yes! An illusion.

I slapped my hands together, if this were an illusion, it'll break. A huge burst of green spread from me and when it crossed the throne, y/n wasn't there. Yes! I was right! Y/n is safe!

But then who had the audacity to play such a cruel trick?

"Quite realistic huh, our simulations. You noticed the illusion pretty quick though. Y/n said that you'd find out soon, but I couldn't have anticipated this soon. Bet you got fooled real nice."

"Shuaya." I said through gritted teeth.

He did an elaborate bow, "Yours truly." And finished with an idiotic smile that I'd do anything to wipe off.

"Where is y/n and how do you know about her?" My anger under control now.

"Hurts, doesn't it. To see your lover say stuff like 'You are nothing' to you? To see her become completely cold and unreceptive?"

"What do you mean?"

"You see, your biggest flaw is that you notice the smallest things but you don't take care of them. One thing my father taught me well was to always take care of the smallest things. Look at you, for example, a mortal life is small. You notice that, but you don't take care of it."

"And how do you mean?"

Shuaya smirked and waved his right hand. Behind him, a few Sedhs came in. Behind the shoulders of the two Sedhs in front, I saw a Sedh pushing y/n, forcing her towards me.

Horror spilled within me as I took in her present state of being. She was far too bruised, far too bloodied, and far too wounded to be even recognised. Her arms were covered in cuts and her clothes were battered. Open wounds were on her face, her walk was a forced limp. Her breathing was wheezy and...I couldn't bring myself to complete that picture. Oh y/n what did he do to you?

Shuaya grabbed her by her arms and she whimpered. It was difficult to look at y/n and keep a calm mind. The man responsible for her state is standing right in front of me yet all I can offer is nothing more than a balled fist kept by my side.

"So tell me, how was your first lesson in taking care of the small things?"

"Shuaya, give me y/n back and I'll let this all be water under the bridge."

"Oh no. That's not possible." Shuaya dare utter in a sweet voice that toyed with me. "You see, this is all a part of the deal. It was y/n for our technology. To be honest, Odin pounced upon the idea of being rid of this "pathetic mortal" and gave her to us in under a minute."

Odin! I've been angry at Father many times before. But this crosses every limit. I will exact revenge and all of them would suffer.

"I didn't plan on keeping her here for much long. In fact, she was supposed to be dead right after she lied to me. But in a dramatic turn of events, it so happened to rain. Imagine rain! In Yaana! My people, dying out there, bathed in rain after eons! I couldn't possibly let go of her. So I decided to keep her my pet. Her whimpers and cries were music to my ears every night. I even made up a story that I wanted to conquer Asgard and tortured her in the name of it. Might I say, good job on her integrity, she still hasn't let out a reply to any of my queries. But enough of my story telling, you have places to be."

And that place was a Goddamn prison cell. Probably the same one as y/n because it had scraps of her clothing lying around. The cell was, however, split in two by a glass wall. Almost ten minutes later, my fingers burst out in a fit of sparkles. This could mean only one thing and I was right.

Y/n was pushed in through the other side of the cell.
