Debris was flying everywhere as the latest blast came from right next to the walls of the Great Hall. The scraps were flying dangerously, the soot in the air singed holes in my dress.

I had to make two decisions at the moment.

Whether or not to let these people off my control, and do I fight or do I leave.

I mean clearly this isn't my war. I can't be concerned with these people - the very people who wanted my execution.

Heimdall, Thor, Freyja, they all looked ahead, gearing up for the battle. I should at least release their army.

"Quick update everyone: your king is asleep, and you are under attack. All the warriors of the army please raise your hands, I'll be releasing you first to avoid chaos."

I expected a few hundred hands, I didn't expect all hands. Even the 8-year-old girl raised her hand, her will to fight was clear.

Damn Odin. He didn't deserve such loving people. I was angry at the people, but it's hard to be in the face of such resilience. They all were together, in whatever they were doing.

I sighed, "Very well. One Army of Asgard, hot release."

The men went for the armoury, the women went for the knives they stashed in their dresses. The boys went for the stones and the girls went for their hair pins which were sharply pointed. These people neither needed directions nor weapons, their sheer will radiates the strength of a thousand armies. No wonder Odin feels so untouchable, unaware that he is doing wrong by these souls.

There were loud noises coming from around the palace, screaming and hollering. The attackers must not have found any blood to shed yet as everyone was concentrated here.

At one place.

My awareness was jolted into existence as I realised the implications of this. Of course no one was hurt yet and that was good, but that fact is like the calm before the storm. If no one was hurt before, everyone would be hurt now.

I was looking around and thinking when my gaze caught Loki's. He was realising the same thing I was. The second our eyes caught each other's, we understood what needed to be done.

We nodded in agreement.

But did I want to do it? This isn't my war, I have nothing to do with these people. True I wanted to be their villain...

What if?

My mind worked, I was hatching a plan. This might work out well for me if I played my moves right.

Loki yelled out to Thor, "Brother, take the people away. Armour up, make a strategy. Y/n and I will hold these attacks off!"

Freyja and Heimdall moved quickly as well. They began moving Odin to a safer place.

Loki and I met at the centre of the Grand Hall.

I snapped my wrist to change into clothes better suited to combat.

"Heimdall!" I called for his attention. He turned to look at me, I told one thing to his mind.

"I'll help you fight these people, but in exchange I want all charges dropped against me and a safe passage back to my home."

He looked into my eyes, weighed his options, and nodded an agreement before fleeing with the rest of the people.

Having secured my motive, I stepped in front of Loki. My back to his chest. His arms snaked around my waist and we locked into combat stance - one we had practiced with and found to amplify our powers the most.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Always." I cracked my knuckles.

It's show time.

We sent a blast through the room, one that covered the entire hall in a protective shield.

The room was now divided by our shield.

People got to work behind us and we waited for the attackers to show their faces. The dust was settling, everyone had their breaths held. A loose strand of my hair fell on my face, I blew against it to throw it off my face, I daren't risk taking my eyes off the doors. Even though I had promised to help, a part of me didn't want to fight. Why should I risk my life, spend my powers and energy on a Kingdom that condemned me?

"Y/n!" Loki yelled my name to bring me back to reality: a knife hurtling towards me. My urge was to step away, but the shield was in place, I would be safe. Loki and I moved forwards, pushing the attackers behind. I couldn't even place what sort of race they belonged to. Some looked human, some aliens, some lizards, some wizards. I didn't know what to make sense of, I just pushed them away and kept walking ahead.

Our plan was to lead the outside and then trap everyone in a field of our powers, like a dome and trap them there.

I took a right turn and Loki took a left turn. We started folding the shield towards our attackers, caving them inside. Once in clear grounds, we'd trap them inside. I didn't have contact with Loki anymore, and the loss of contact must've affected the strength of his powers. He wasn't one to remain dependent on others forever, I knew he'd find a way to make it work anyhow.

I saw open grounds, and began the bowing of the force field, the attackers were too busy attacking me, thinking they'd eventually be able to break it or harm me, but that ain't happening today.

Once clear, the force field closed around them. They didn't even have time to register any of it.

I grunted, looking at one of them in the eyes. He thought he could push me back or maybe scare me away, we were forehead to forehead with the powerful white force field between us. His eyes were small, a speck in the expanse of blue liquid. Very unsettling to look at, I wonder if I were to squeeze the life out of him, would the blue leak, or burst?

My heartbeat fastened, I saw a hungry look on my face, reflected by the guys's head armour. Some others tried to hit around the thing. I slowly walked walk, my eyes still locked on the guy. He was grunting with all his might. I was curious how he'd behave if he were dying. Currently, he was fuelled by rage, what would the look of dying desperation look on him?

"Come here, let's round the others!" Loki called for me.

"On it!"

I left those men and made for another group. As I did, I stopped.

I turned around to face that man again.

I walked back, a mere 10 feet between us.

I fisted my hands, ordering the force field to crush its contents.

Huh, so the blue of his eyes would burst.
