A lot of fights were going on, a lot of our men taking damage, even more dying. No one looked in too great a shape. It was clear that the enemy was gaining ground.

I saw a group of Asgardians fending off a huge dragon-like monster. I ran to aid them.

The air around the monster felt putrid and hot. It was so uncomfortable I wanted to run away, and that is exactly how the others fighting it felt as well but they were motivated by the fear of their life.

One thing was clear to me, there is no winning this battle with "clean" warfare.

Blood must be shed.

I boosted myself into the air and came eye to eye with the monster, that was now interested in this glowing, white woman.

"Hey buddy, want to see a trick?" I sent a flare to side; it took the dragon's attention. With her head turned away, I found my window.

I summoned a claymore from the air and sliced its head off in one, smooth motion.

I saw the head falling with a thump and a quake of the earth. The Asgardians down below cowered behind their shields to protect themselves against the flying particles and shards, and the shock of seeing such a beheading at my hands.

I landed on the ground and moved towards the next group. The mouth agape Asgardians followed behind me. Even though I didn't need their help, I wanted to give them a show of my powers. Anything I imagined, I could do.

I am limitless.

Heimdall was stuck behind a boulder, fighting off a group of 3 giants. He was doing well for his size, but it didn't even nick those giants. They had seemed to have cornered him and were toying him around because they had this false sense of belief that nothing could harm them.

I looked over my shoulders and the (two, four, six) seven Asgardians stood in attention. Perhaps awaiting orders?

"Can you run?" I asked a short one.

"Randall here is the most agile." He pointed to his friend.

"Very well, then. Randall, choose a guy who can lift heavy. Make three pairs of one agile, one heavy lifter. The remaining one can accompany me."

A woman named Navi remained and thus accompanied me. I sent the others with their instructions and took Navia with me to help Heimdall.

The three pairs got to work. One lifted a heavy boulder, the other ran with a rope that was attached to the boulder.

The goal was to give the giants something else to play with.

I accessed my teams' head and counted down, this was a coordinated attack. Om the count of three, the three pairs charged at the giants.

They tied the rope around an ankle of each giant and dropped the boulder on their toes. In the split second after they let go of the boulder, and before it landed on their toes, I heated the stones to their maximum heating capacity. The excruciating pain from the hot ball of lava spread immediately.

The giants bellowed and wanted to crush the menance makers. The lifters ran to hide with Heimdall and the runners took off with the giants at their heels.

Navia helped with their rescue. I flew behind the giants, my claymore ready for more damage.

The giants wanted to play with others, let's see how they'd like to be played with now. I heated up my blade and started cutting off their fingers in random order. Giant 1, 2, and 3 were in constant pain. The runners were beginning to slow down, I guess I gotta cut the fun.

I ordered them to move away, and in one final blow, all three of the heads fell where the runners were running a minute ago.

The out of breath Asgardians were in disbelief and shock at how adept I was. Perhaps they had taken me for a good for nothing. Maybe I was. If they hadn't disrespected me as such, I wouldn't have resolved to turn around myself.

I didn't stay behind and moved on to the next battle. This time, the witnesses of the battle with the giants followed behind too.

Battle after battle, head after head, my army was growing. They all didn't necessarily trust me for kindness or goodness, but they damn well trusted me with their life. Any battle we went in for, we won. During battle, every Asgardian that had come into my orders had heard me, none disputed my prowess. The enemy was always beheaded and the army was untouchable. We were a force of white amidst the blood.

Soon enough, we had almost everyone contained in the force fields. Thor and the others were wrapping up the works.

My piece of army was chewing as the final bodies hit the ground. The clean up would take a lot of time, but at least we came out victorious.

My feet left the ground as the excited and happy Asgardians lifted me. I was being heralded as their saviour. They cheered on my name and were happy beyond any measure, after all, I gave them the peace of victory.

I travelled all the way back to the palace on their shoulders. They were singing and making merry, heralding me as the hero. I can't say that that didn't make me happy. I actually smiled and couldn't stop smiling. People's positive attention does that to a person.

The injured were rescued and were now being taken to the medical centre.

Heimdall, Thor, Loki and the rest were waiting for me. I was placed on the ground in front of them.

It took all of me to not smirk at their faces and say 'Who's your daddy?' with all the available smugness in the world. Though I doubt they'd understand, it would've felt great to have said it.

Now, obviously since I couldn't do that, I had to do something else. I definitely did not want to talk to anyone here, they all disgusted me. I wanted to turn around and walk away, but before I could, Thor spoke.

"Lady y/n. Asgard is thankful for your services today. We are alive and victorious because of your efforts and commands."

A man from the crowd chimed in, "We wouldn't have won so quickly if not for her valiant strength and direction."

A cheer passed the crowd.

"That is why, we, the people of Asgard, hereby forgive you for your crimes and accept you as a citizen of Asgard should you wish to stay."

Those words should've brought me comfort but they didn't. Today they did only one thing. An unexpected reaction, but that is the only thing I felt. I wasn't relieved, I certainly wasn't happy.

I was pissed.
