"What have you done?" Shuaya shrieked as he took in the damage. His eyes were wild and his lips quivered. I could feel his entire world shatter in front of him.

The crystal didn't fall to the ground, instead it hovered. It hovered and glowed even stronger than when it was within the case. Before I knew it, the strongest blast of energy passed through us, a shockwave. I crouched low and covered myself and Y/n from the blast.

Utter silence covered us next. After a few long minutes, we emerged from our brace positions and stood to see that nothing but dust remained at the spot which once held the crystal. The energy that hit me was as powerful as an infinity stone, but I'm absolutely certain that that stone isn't an infinity stone. I will have to find out what it is, later though.

Y/n wriggled out of my arms and took in the damage. Her eyes went wide in shock, her hands clamped down her mouth. She kept muttering, 'bad' under her breath, violently shaking her head. Something that Shuaya was doing too at this point. I, on the other hand, was bewildered. Sure that crystal looked important, but how much, that I couldn't estimate.

Y/n grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the room. We dashed through all the levels and doors and were soon running out of the castle. I caught mere glimpses of the common folks, some lying on the ground, probably unconscious, some staggering around, all from the effects of the blast.

I kept pace with Y/n now that she had let go of my hand.

"Why is this bad?" I scream, courtesy of the wind in our ears.

"Crystal - energy core - Yaana."

Her broken words still managed to make sense to me. If that crystal powered Yaana, all of it, then it means it powered it's tech too. Now that would explain why their devices never worked on their own, and always required someone from Yaana around so that they could work. They didn't give us faulty pieces as such, but they sure had tricked us and I take that personally. It was a bogus deal, and we were on the losing end. We never got any real equipment and they got Y/n. The question, however, remains that why they needed Y/n so bad.

With the crystal destroyed, Yaana would crumble. It was its energy core. That sure sounded like a huge problem but with Y/n by my side, I needed to only focus on bringing her to Asgard.

We stopped in front of a chasm. Now was the time for Heimdall to open the Bifrost and let us in.

Looking at the sky, I prayed, "Heimdall, open the Bifrost. Let us through."

"I cannot allow Y/n to return. It will go against Odin and my sworn duty to protect Asgard at all costs."

"What about me then huh? You certainly can't leave the Prince of Asgard stranded!"

"The Prince of Asgard is more than welcome. However, as I had done with Thor, I cannot open the Bifrost if it possesses a threat to Asgard."

"Threat? What threat?!"

Silence. That's all I was met with. I needn't think beyond that, Y/n was already panicking and showing me the aforementioned threat.

The army of Yaana.

It was led by Shuaya who looked very furious. Everyone in there was here for us, we didn't have much time. Turning to Y/n, I offered her the most absurd plan that popped into my head, first thing.

"Y/n," I brought her hand in front of us, "you have to trust me." I beckoned to the chasm on my right, the army to my left, and then at her.

Her mind clicked the gears together and she knew what I meant. I'll forever be in awe of how she can always understand me, know my plans, know me, and still go with my plans. As much as she hated me, she trusted my mind. And so did I. I have always survived because of my conniving, mischievous mind.

"No."

"I'm sorry?" I prompted her again, hoping – no, praying – that I had heard her wrong.

"No!" She screamed.

"What do you mean 'no'?!"

"No!" She shook her head violently and she broke out of my hands, staggering away from me.

The ground beneath us was shaking as our doom closed in upon us. A few more minutes and we will be as good as dead. I cannot leave her. I shall not leave her.

"Why?!" I strained my voice with the hopelessness which strained my heart too.

"Asgard. Frigg. Thor."

Thor. Frigg. Asgard. Everyone but me. I know I pushed her to the position that she wouldn't care about me. A monster in the truest sense of the word. I'll always be alone.

"YouYou deserve love, true love."

And just like that, she turned a beast into a humble being. The first full sentence she could form and that was for me. She thinks I deserve love. Oh my love, the only love I deserve is yours.

"Y/n...please, come with me...if–if you won't come with me, I shall not leave. Not without you, ever. There would be nothing to live for, to look for. There would be nothing to be mischievous for." A soft laugh ended my plea, but my tears kept presenting argument after argument in her court.

Y/n breathed heavily, filling her cheeks with air before blowing them out. She looked up, her fingers rubbing each other with nervous energy. She made some calculations and she knew I would never leave.

She looked at the sky, then at me, "Okay."

We held hands again, I called onto to Heimdall, telling him that I'll die – literally – if he fails to open the Bifrost.

With all our hopes pumped into one life changing decision, we plunged into the chasm.

My stomach dropped and the air felt like it was cushioning us, only that it wasn't. Heimdall has to open the bridge now. I called upon him again and again, like his is the only name and word I know.

Y/n pushed me hard, away from her, knocking the wind out of me. The hurtling wind hurt my eyes and we were floating away from each other at an alarming rate.

"Heimdall!" Y/n screamed and I couldn't understand a thing.

The familiar brilliance of the Bifrost covered me and I understood. She betrayed me. She never planned on coming with me. She just wanted me off the planet.

"Noooo!" An ear-splitting scream left my throat raw and sore. I landed on the floor of the Bridge, on my knees. Heimdall still stood proud with his hands draped over his sword.

I had plunged into the chasm, to the Bifrost. Y/n had plunged into the chasm, to her death.
