Walking through the front doors of Edgewood high school, I made my way through the large crowds in the orange building.

As I walked past all the students sitting by the pond I turned my music up a little louder. Turning the corner my eyes landed on my group of friends sitting at our blue table.

Caylin waved her hand at me and I walked a little quicker taking a seat next to Semira who laid her head on my shoulder.

"Hey guys," I spoke putting one of my AirPods back into the case and lowering the volume of the Tyler song playing in my ear.

"Hey." They each said.

The energy was very low which was expected, it's seven in the morning and there are crowds of freshmen everywhere you turn your head with huge backpacks on.

Looking around at our table, "Where's Kavion?" I asked and Caylin pointed him out for me.

He sat on the staircase in front of the green building with some of his basketball friends.

When he saw my eyes land on his he smiled and waved at me to come over but I simply shook my head and turned back around.

"What classes do we have together again?" I asked them as we all opened our phones.

"I have two classes with Acura, two with Semira, none with Raine, and one with Caylin. " Narri spoke up.

"Two classes with Narri, one with Caylin, one with Raine, and none with Acura.," Semira said.

"One with Raine, one with Semira, one with Narri, and two with Acura." Caylin looked at her phone while talking.

"Well, I have one with Narri, two with Caylin, none with Semira, and one with Raine," I said.

"I'm lost," Raine said and everyone agreed but she proceeded to recite what classes she had with us anyways. "One with Semira, one with Caylin, one with Acura, and none with Narri."

The bell rang and all of us parted ways seeing with had different homerooms. Caylin, Semira, and Raine had homeroom in the same building so they walked together while Narri and I walked to our homeroom together.

"Wait up," I heard and turned around to see Kavion jogging over to us.

"Hey, Narri," He nodded to her then walked beside me.

"Wassup best friend," He said holding his hand out.

I stared at it and rolled my eyes. "Hi, Kavion."

"Wow, it's like that?" He held a shocked expression on his face.

"Mhm, go to homeroom before your late on the first day," I told him and he scoffed walking back towards his friends.

Kavion and I have always had a joking relationship, mostly sometimes I treat him that way because he puts a lot of his other friends before me.

Narri and I continued walking as we went up the stairs towards our homeroom. Seeing as the classroom door was closed we stood against the wall.

"Here comes Adonis," Narri spoke rolling her eyes.

I looked over at him, noticing the tattoos on his arm. He walked right past us chewing a piece of gum scrolling on the phone in his hand.

Sometimes I wonder what would of happened if I forgave him like I always did. If we would still be together. Before I could think too hard on the thought the hallway became empty as my homeroom went into the classroom.

Today is going to be a long first day.
