It was Friday–the first day of fall, sitting on the small bleachers on the side of the basketball courts were me, Kavion, and his friends. They all ate lunch joking and talking with each other while I stared at my phone hoping time would go by faster.

"Acura, what do you think?" One of the guy's voices called and I turned my head to look at them.

Mind you, Kavion is friends with basically the whole basketball team. So it's not just 3 of them, more like 10.

You have Royce, Myles, Donovan, Chris, Evan, Sam, Dez, Dylan, and Tony.

"Hmm?" I looked trying to figure out who asked the question.

Myles began speaking, "Whos better at shooting me, Donovan, or Evan?"

"D-Donovan," I told them and Myles rolled his eyes and Evan stood up.

"He's only better at shooting because he's the tallest." He said all of them, beginning to argue again.

I turned back at my phone, some of them getting off the bleachers and on the court, "Your eyes are all puffy and red, you okay?" Royce now stood in front of me and I nodded.

Kavion was on the court with the rest of them, Royce and Dylan lingering at the bleachers with me.

"Why you gotta lie Acura? It's us." Dylan looked at me and I looked down.

I might not be the closest with everyone but they are both my friends, they're the type of people when I don't have a class with Narri or Semira but I don't have to sit alone because they'll be there.

"Just a fight with my boyfriend, everything will be fine soon," I assured them.

"And your friends," Dylan spoke and I looked at him causing him to dig in his backpack for something. "Raine told me, sorry."

"It's okay," It's not a surprise, she tells him everything basically.

"Someone told me what happened with you and Adonis, don't tell nobody but he a bitch for telling people that. If it was me and you, I'd never do anything like that." Royce spoke.

By now Dylan was on the court with everyone else–you'd think they'd get tired of playing basketball so much but they all love it.

"Royce you have a girlfriend." I squinted my eyes at him and he smiled.

"I know," He ran off on the court stealing the ball from Tony, running towards the basket, and shooting–but he missed.

"Goodness," I shook my head with a smirk on my face.

I looked to my side to see Adonis and his friends walking towards the courts, Kavion must have noticed too because he called my name and told me to play with them.

Once I got on the court I saw he was walking the opposite way now.

"Acura, why don't you be the basketball manager liked you talked about sophomore year?" Evan asked as I dribbled the ball and shot–I made it.

"Can't, there can only be one manager and someone got to it first," I told him, catching the ball and shooting again–this time I missed and Sam began shooting.

"That would have been cool not gone lie, coach loves you. He thinks the old managers were a 'distraction'." Donovan spoke doing air quotations.

"Bro that's because you and Kavion both slept with her," Tony said making all of them laugh.

"We don't talk about that," Kavion told them.

"We don't talk about that," Kavion told them
