Acura Saint has always felt like she was damaged, through all the things she's been through and all the trauma she tries to keep locked away. Falling in love is the last thing she wants to think about.
She can't love another when she can't stand to...
I don't think it became real to me until I woke up this morning and her arms were wrapped around my body. I was no longer in my crewneck, but my spaghetti strapped shirt, showcasing all my scars for her to see.
And for some reason, I didn't care that she saw them.
But due to the fact that her family was there, I didn't want to parade around showing everything. But now in the bathroom after brushing my teeth and rinsing my face, I was nervous.
I hadn't thought this through. I wasn't wearing makeup, and my eyes were puffy, so unnaturally puffy, my lips were plump from being asleep and I felt uncomfortable for her to see me like this.
Leaning onto the bathroom counter with my face in my hands I released a deep breath.
A knock on the bathroom door took me out of my thoughts.
"Acura, it's me." I heard her soft voice making me panic.
I turned and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Acura?" She called again and I reached for the knob unlocking the door and she opened it slowly.
"G-Goodmorning," I said quietly.
"Hey, everything okay?" She rubbed her eye, and I nodded silently.
I pulled her into the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind her.
"Sorry, I'm j-just, I don't know." I breathed out. "I'm thinking t-too much right now,"
"Babe, just take a deep breath." Xaria placed her hand on my arm, soothing me.
One word, one simple word, and the pit of my stomach is fluttering with butterflies. Babe.
And in what felt like an instant, I was calm. Realizing I had nothing to worry about in the first place.
Because she didn't seem to care at all.
"I'm okay," I breathed out.
"Good, I thought you ran away. My mom made breakfast but we're the only ones here besides Brett since he never leaves." She explained.
I laughed a bit, "Ok."
We turned around, and she unlocked the door. Brett is standing against the wall facing the bathroom door with his eyebrow raised.
"I'm not even asking," He sighed and went into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.
"I think we've traumatized h-him." I joked once we entered her room.
"Oh definitely."

"Do you have to go home anytime soon?" Xaria asked me.
We had just entered her room after eating breakfast.
