The first week of school flew by pretty quickly. Or I had my mind preoccupied with things other than school. Pretty much both.
I'd been spending a lot of time with Adonis this week, and though I was nervous at first about how things were going to go this time all those nerves went away. We were both happy to be around each other again.
And he told me it was official so nothing would happen like it did last time, though he owned up to it. Other than that my parents have been arguing with each other all week.
It's exhausting and when I wanted to get away I had Adonis as that outlet. It felt nice having my own person again.
Now it is Saturday, Aries and Xaria wanted me to come over for a movie night. They let me know I could invite my friends too but I didn't want to mix those two worlds.
Aries encouraged me to invite Adonis because they had only met one other time and since our minds were set on being together he wanted to get to know him more.
He's like the big brother I've always wanted–sure I have Vinnie but that situation explains itself. Aries is protective over me and has always cared about me as if I was his sister.
So I knew him wanting to meet Adonis was just another way of him making sure I was being taken care of the right way.
Adonis and I sat in my car as he drove me to Aries' house. My playlist playing through the speakers I sat in the passenger seat dressed in grey tights and a black long sleeve, my dark blue crocs on my feet.
My hair was still in my soft locs that I planned on taking out tomorrow after work. Adonis's hand sat on my thigh while he drove. He wore a black Nike hoodie, with matching sweatpants and slides.
Once we pulled in front of Aries' house, D put the car in the park and looked over at me. "You sure you up for it? Because if your not I can take you back home." He asked for the second time tonight.
I cried a lot before he came over for us to leave, my dad had said something to me and when Adonis had got there I was still a mess. He helped me calm down but I didn't want to leave Aries and Xaria hanging so here we are.
I would have felt more comfortable just hanging out with my boyfriend tonight but it was too late for that.
"Yea, I'm okay," I assured him and we both got out of the car.
Me carrying my small backpack I met D on the sidewalk and he wrapped his arm around me as we walked up the steps.
"You're going to like Aries, and I don't know Xaria that much but she's really nice," I spoke softly as we reached the door.
He raised his hand a knocked on the door. Shortly Aries arrived at the door and greeted us.
"Hey Acura," He smiled stepping to the side to let us in.
I muttered a hello, and waved while he and Adonis dapped each other at me hearing D say, "Wassup bro."
Walking into the living room, my eyes landed on Xaria whose eyes were on her phone, frantically typing. Blankets sat on the couch and snacks on the table.
"H-Hey Xaria," I said and she looked up with a smile on her face.
"Hey Acura, good to see you again." She spoke.
"You t-too. This is my boyfriend, Adonis. A-adonis this is Xaria, Aries' cousin." I introduced them and they both said hello to each other.
"Well you guys can sit down, we still haven't decided on a movie yet," Aries told us.
Holding Adonis's hand I went and sat on the couch a little away from Xaria and Aries. He sat down next to me and put his arm behind me hand landing on my shoulder.
