"So we're going out Friday guaranteed? I don't want to cancel or anything again before we have to go back to school." Xaria said.

Her phone was propped up against a pillow as she sat on facetime with Acura, who didn't at the beginning of the call which was about forty-five minutes ago want to put her face in the camera.

But I eventually propped my phone up after Xaria reminded me that her tongue was almost in my mouth before and she wanted to see her face, which made me blush so I agreed to prop up the phone.

"Ye-yea, we've double-checked you don't have to work Friday e-either." Acura reminded her. The two of us had tried to hang out a couple of weeks ago, but then it was Christmas and I went over to her house.

But now, we were both free this weekend, so we'd finally be able to go out without the company of Aries or Brett, I was excited but also nervous.

"Is it okay if I drive? I can pick you up from your house at around 3, that way I can see your room since you've seen mine." She offered.

Before I answered, I didn't really want her to see my room, but I still had time to clean it up since it was only Wednesday night. It wasn't as bad as when Aries came over but not clean enough for her to see.

But also, I had to make sure no one was home, Emani would be at her friend's this weekend–she already told me. My mom had to work, Vincent would be over with my cousins, and I hadn't told her anything about my family. I didn't know where my dad would be.

I didn't want to play it safe though and become territorial since she had welcomed me into her home, "Yeah that's ok, my room isn't that f-festive. Bed, books, posters, fish tank," I shrugged.

"This is why I like you, I don't know anyone who uses festive in their everyday vocabulary," She smiled which caused me too as well.

I found myself smiling and laughing a lot more since I started talking to Xaria more, it was like she shinned some light into my life. Things were still just as bad but Xaria made me forget about it whenever I talked to her.

"Hold on, Ivy's scratching at my door," Xaria rolled her eyes and let from the camera as I chewed the inside of my cheek.

Once she came back she sat down, "Why'd you name her Ivy?"

"After the song Ivy by Frank Ocean, I got her while I was having a rough time, so comfort song by Frank," I heard scratching and Xaria groaned making me laugh.

Another door opened in the background and Xaria's head turned, "She's fake as hell, just take her." She told someone who I assumed was Brett.

"Who are we talking to?" He asked leaning over and putting his face in the camera, I got a little self-conscious, so I picked up the phone so my entire upper body wasn't on display.

"H-hi, Brett," I waved with my other hand.

"Wassup Acura, how was your day?" I saw Xaria in the background trying to take the phone from him, but struggling once he held the phone up over his head smiling, clearly taller than her.

"It was g-good, how was–"

"Brett go away!" She scowled at him, but he simply smirked keeping his attention on the phone. "Momma!"

"Brett leave that little girl alone please, ya'll are too old to be fighting every three seconds!" I heard their mother in the background making my cheeks warm.

I loved their relationship, and their entire family, everything was so coordinated, and everyone was also so close with each other too.

"Here damn, always snitching." He handed her the phone and took Ivy.
