Ran leaned over his body, a somewhat amazed smile on his face. "Wahh he's really holding on, but I don't think he's gonna make it."
You glanced at your brother before shaking your head, ripping out a portion of your hoodie and pressing it into Baji's back wound, making sure not to pull out the knife just yet, since it was the only thing keeping him from bleeding out the other end.
"It'd be a miracle if he survives this, but I have to try." You spoke with determination and focus. "After all, I owe him one."
"This is the Valhalla kid you had a run-in with?" He asked, raising his eyebrows as he stared at Baji's unconscious form.
You nodded, keeping your eyes on Baji. "Yeah, can you and Rindo take care of the cops? They're gonna be here in a sec and I need their stretcher."
Ran stretched his limbs, a satisfied noise leaving his throat as he twirled his baton around one of his braids. "Sure thing, kiddo."

Night had already fallen when you returned to Roppongi. Baji was currently in the medical ward of your apartment building, which so happened to be owned by your brothers. It was days like these that you were thankful your brothers decided to buy the whole building out for their people and other delinquents alike as neutral territory.
You on the other hand were hanging out in the living room, sitting on the backrest of the couch with Rindo sitting in front of you, between your legs. He had just finished taking a shower and was wearing grey jogging pants with his towel draped over his shoulders.
"That hurts you little shit!" Rindo growled as you pulled the comb through his damp hair.
You rolled your eyes, brushing carelessly once more and earning yet another yelp from him. "Be grateful I'm helping you with your hair, damn rat."
The door to your apartment suddenly opened and Ran walked inside, still dressed in his clothes from earlier today, sweat gleaming on his forehead. "Knock it off you two," he rasped, taking his sweater off and throwing it in the laundry basked before disappearing into the hallway.
You could hear the bathroom door open and close before the sound of running water echoed quietly around the apartment. You finished tying up Rindo's hair, making sure to pull on his hair a little bit as he reached behind and slapped your leg.
Getting off the couch, you stretched a little bit, loosening up your muscles. "I'm gonna head over to the medical ward, let's order takeout for dinner today."
"Ramen or Pizza?" Rindo asked, leaning back into the couch and draping an arm over the backrest.
"Ask Ran!" You replied, heading out of the apartment and closing the door behind you.
Unfortunately, your apartment room was on the top floor and the medical ward was all the way on the ground floor. You headed over to the elevator which luckily was still on your floor, probably the one Ran used.
Stepping into the elevator, you pressed on the ground floor, humming quietly to yourself as you patiently waited to reach the ground floor. When you finally did, you headed straight for the medical ward.
You knocked on the door before twisting the knob and pushing it open, you could see a few injured gangsters here and there. Of course, Baji was all the way in the back where the private rooms were.
It was a good thing Baji's blood type was conveniently AB, so it wasn't difficult to transfer blood into his system. When you entered his room, you could hear the steady beeping of the heart monitor next to his bed. His hair was down again after getting treatment, and you noticed a bit of dried blood remained on his face as you pulled a chair and sat next to his bed.
"I could've let you die," you muttered. "I don't even know you."
Reaching out, you grabbed a wet wipe from the bedside table, carefully cleaning out the remaining blood on his face. "But you just seemed like a guy worth saving."
You smiled a little, admiring the tired yet somehow peaceful expression on his face. "For now, stay strong and fight to get better, Baji. You belong to me now."

Another day passed and you hired a few informants to look up all the information they could find on Baji and hand it over to you. The boy himself was yet to wake up, but judging by the color returning to his skin, you could tell he was getting better.
You were currently sitting on the rooftop of the apartment building, legs dangling off the edge as you breathed in the fresh air. The formal gathering of Tenjiku would be in two days, you and your brothers had already prepared your attires.
Staring up at the sky, you couldn't help but ask quietly. "Hey Akane-san, do you think Koko and Inupi would ever forgive me for what happened that day?" A strong breeze blew against you, causing your hair to fly everywhere as you smiled softly. "I don't think the time will ever come for us to be together again, but if it does, I hope you're right."
Sighing, you pushed yourself up to stand, dusting off your pants as you headed back down the apartment. It was still late in the afternoon so you had a lot of time to waste, you just weren't sure what to do.
You decided to head back down and check on Baji, since there was a chance that he'd finally be awake. He was only unconscious due to blood loss, but he took no blows to the head so he should be alright.
When you reached the medical ward, you immediately headed over to his room only to hear a large commotion coming from inside.
Rushing in, you saw Baji, awake and struggling against the handcuffs that kept him locked against the bed as a few of the medical staff were panicking and getting a bit frantic.
Yeah, he was pretty freaked. "Let go of me, you bastards! Who the fuck are you?!"
"Baji." The moment he heard your voice, he stopped moving, turning to look at you with wide eyes.
"...Y/N?"
"Wow, took you long enough to wake up." You grinned as the medical staff exited the room.
"What the hell is this?" He asked, jaw clenched as he glared at you.
You tilted your head slightly, a small smile on your face. "That isn't a very nice way to talk to someone who saved your life."
"What?"
"I saved you, dumbass." You scoffed, walking over to him. "But I'm glad you're finally awake, my pretty."
