Two figures emerged from the door, hearing the sound of the flatline echo through the room, breathing heavily as they took in the scene before them.
Their now dead sister, and Hanagaki left unconscious on the floor with his head bleeding.
"What..." Ran collapsed to the ground on his knees, unable to take it all in.
You were dead.
His one and only beloved little sister was dead.
Rindo stood by the door, just as shocked, but he was the first to snap out of his trance, rushing to your side and pulling you into his embrace as he cried out.
"No..." Ran's head fell into his hands, body trembling as he slowly came to terms with it. "What happened... why..."
"Y/N," Rindo cried, tears falling from his eyes as he caressed your head. "Please wake up," he begged.
Ran's jaw clenched as he tried to keep himself composed, knuckled turning white from the way he balled his fists.
"This isn't happening," he mumbled. "It's not real."
"Y/N?" Kakucho stood frozen by the door, bewildered by the scene before him.
Rindo kept you in his hold, tears in his eyes as he looked up at Kakucho, shaking his head.
"She's gone."

It was an exhausting day at the pet shop after the trio had received more customers than usual.
No doubt some lurking in simply out of interest for the three good looking young men. The three of them had planned to go out drinking tonight to take a break and ease up.
Oh, if only they knew their plans would be cancelled so abruptly.
The sound of a notification bell from Baji's phone grabbed their attention as he went over to check.
One could only imagine the surprise on Chifuyu and Kazutora's face when he suddenly collapsed on the ground, falling to his knees as his expression was tainted with shock and disbelief.
"Keisuke?! What's wrong?!" Kazutora rushed over to his side, followed by Chifuyu.
He looked up at them with such a pained and dreaded expression that both of them could feel their hearts drop the second he opened his mouth.
"Y/N is dead."

"Today we celebrate the life of my sister," Rindo began his eulogy.
"She was a great person, for someone who lived the underground life."
"She was kind to us and always took care of us, and she's someone no one could replace," he let out a shaky breath before continuing.
"I don't regret a lot of things in my life, but this time I do."
"I regret not reaching out to her sooner and trying to talk things out with her," he uttered.
"It hurts a lot... knowing that the last thing we did before parting was argue."
"But I know deep down, she'd probably be looking up at me and laughing right now," he smiled sadly. "At least hell's warm, huh Y/N?"
Everyone smiled, some even laughing softly at that, and he took another deep breath before continuing. "Simply put, she was the best sister a guy could ever ask for, and I love her to no end."
