"I'll see you later," you waved as Izana walked into the cemetery.

Kakucho was about to follow until you grabbed his arm, stopping him as he looked at you questioningly. "What is it?"

"Please keep an eye on him," you mumbled, worry evident in your tone.

He gave you a reassuring smile, patting your head. "You can count on me, don't worry Y/N."

You nodded, returning a hesitant smile and watching as he turned to follow Izana, feet moving quickly to catch up.

"Well, this is my cue to leave," you spoke to no one in particular, stretching your arms slightly as you hopped back onto your bike.

The drive to the park where you would meet Baji was a little far from the cemetery, but it was closer to the location of the fight which would be at one of the ports in Kanto.

You spotted Baji almost instantly waiting on one of the park benches, he had his arms resting on the back of the bench and his head tilted back slightly, allowing his hair to flow freely behind him.

You parked close by, hopping off your bike and setting your helmet down on the seat, shaking your head slightly as your hair was finally let free.

The sound of your footsteps nearing him seemed to grab his attention as he straightened up, watching you with a smile.

"Nice uniform," he said.

You returned his smile as you sat next to him. "Thanks, me and my brothers got ours specially made."

"I noticed," he replied. "There were only three spots of black in a sea of red when I left the apartment."

"Did you wait long?" You asked as he moved his arm to rest on the back of the bench behind you.

He shook his head, "Nah, not really. It was nice just hanging around here."

"I'm surprised you haven't run into any of your former Toman members," you retorted, crossing your arms over your chest as you shifted slightly. And that's probably because they're preparing to fight Tenjiku, you thought.

He nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I'm surprised too, but its better that way."

You were definitely surprised by his response, raising your brow at him. "Wouldn't it be better if they found you? Isn't that what you want?"

He merely shrugged in reply. "I don't really know what I want anymore."

"You want to go back, that's what you want," you said. "You're only hesitant because you're afraid of how they'll react, and you're afraid of what I might do if you admitted it."

"Well you didn't have to blurt it all out that way," he mumbled, looking away from you. "And it wasn't a complete lie, I've formed a good friendship with you and your brothers."

You gave him a look. "I'm not convinced."

"Of course not," he sighed.

"I kidnapped you."

"What a great observation Y/N, totally didn't know that. Thanks for pointing it out," he retorted sarcastically, unconsciously moving his arm from the back of the bench to over your shoulders.

"You're getting way too comfortable these days," you muttered, rolling your eyes.

He gave you a sly smile in return. "Am I?"

You hummed slightly, nodding your head. "You've gotten a bit of an attitude recently."

"Yeah? What are you gonna do about it?" He taunted playfully.

You merely grinned at him innocently, grabbing his chin and forcing him to face you. His eyes widened and he visibly gulped at the closeness and intensity of your stare.

"Do you really want to know?" You asked, tilting your head slightly.

He shook his head.

"That's what I thought," you retorted, letting go of him as he turned away quickly, the tips of his ears tinged red.

Suddenly the sound of your phone ringing in your pocket went off, halting your conversation with Baji. You checked the contact to see it was Emma and quickly answered it, putting it next to your ear.

"Emma?"

"Y-Y/N." Your brows pulled together in confusion upon recognizing the voice that clearly didn't belong to Emma.

"Takemichi-kun? Is that you?" You asked, feeling slightly anxious from your tone.

Unfortunately you weren't careful enough, blurting out his name like that and catching Baji's attention as he stared at you with wide eyes.

"E-Emma... She's..." he trailed off, voice cracking.

"Spit it out." You demanded, getting impatient.

But the next words that followed had you dropping your phone to the ground and rushing to the nearby hospital.

"She's dead."

* * *

Your heart was pounding in your chest as you rushed to the hospital, Baji had tried to follow but you quickly knocked him out by targeting his pressure point.

You felt terrible for hiding this from him, but you knew full well he'd demand to come along, and you weren't going to reveal Baji to them, you weren't planning to do so either.

Instead of leaving him passed out, you had a few of your personal men take him back to the apartment, instructing them to make sure he doesn't step foot outside the apartment building, let alone his room.

And as much as you wanted to scream out and cry for Emma, you simply couldn't. The shock of this loss was much too powerful and overwhelming, and all you could do was rush to the hospital as quickly as possible.

When you entered, you immediately searched for Emma, asking the front desk for a bit of assistance.

It wasn't long before you found Mikey, benched and stumped on the side, Draken too was leaning against the wall silently.

You stood there, staring at the two of them has your stomach sunk lower. Seeing them like this, was only the confirmation that what you learned is true, Emma is dead.

When if finally dawned on you, you stumbled a few steps back, hand covering your mouth as your eyes finally found her, laying cold and unconscious forever.

Slowly, you approached her, one step after the next as your heart ached seeing her that way. She was so young, younger than you were, but how is it that such a sweet girl lost her life this way? Who did this to her?

You fell to your knees by her side, yet your eyes remained dry. Reaching out, your hand touched her cheek, and alas, her skin was cold.

"Who..." your voice trembled, low in volume as you tried to contain your emotions. "Who did this to you?"

Even in her deathbed, she looked beautiful, like she was in everlasting peace. But it was a peace she should've been too young to have.

Your expression darkened and your jaw clenched as you gritted out, "I'll kill them."
