Sanzu couldn't take his eyes off of you the entire night. His mind was stuck on the feeling of your lips on his scars. He was in a daze, sitting in the booth as he watched you dance with the others in the center.
Kakucho sat across from him, swirling his own drink as he watched Ran dance with a smile on his face.
You were with Koko, the two of you dancing side by side, nothing intimate, just pure fun. You were all laughs and smiles with them and you felt that you couldn't be happier.
If only Mikey accepted your invitation, your family would be almost complete.
You excused yourself from Koko before heading back to your VIP table where the other two were relaxing. "Why don't you guys join us on the dance floor?" You asked, pouting as you grabbed both of their hands with mild force.
"It's not really my thing," Kakucho grinned, waving you off. "Don't mind us just keep enjoying yourselves. I'm having fun just watching you guys."
"Or you could come join us," Sanzu suggested, patting the space next to him.
You obliged, taking the seat next to him as he slung his arm over your shoulder casually. It was normal to you, you were used to being intimate with your friends, but for him he felt butterflies fluttering in his stomach at your proximity.
His cheeks grew warm when you leaned your head on his shoulder, oblivious to his shyness. He wasn't normally like this, so why did you make him feel so weak?
"We're gonna have to fight Hanagaki," you said, sighing as you wondered what would happen.
"How do you know?" Sanzu asked, looking at you.
You turned to face him and he had to stop himself from pulling back at the closeness of your faces. "I have connections, his gang is gonna declare war on Kantou."
"Well, I have nothing to worry about, they're a bunch of weak asses," he snickered, taking another sip of his drink.
"I wouldn't underestimate them too much, that Hanagaki is way too persistent for my liking," you said, noting what happened in your original life, he won't stop even if it reaches a point where it'll kill him.
"Whatever, I'll just kill them all," Sanzu scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Don't let me stop you," you grinned, completely forgetting that your precious Inui was part of Hanagaki's stupid gang.
"We'll take them down with ease, I have no doubt, especially since our members are far stronger," Kakucho said.
"With Wakasa and Benkei on our side we have a bigger chance don't you think?" You asked, smiling.
"We could win with just our boss, Y/N," Sanzu reminded you.
You nodded. "Right, but who knows he might leave it to the rest of us like he did last time."
"Mikey's not the same leader he was before," Kakucho said, taking a sip of his drink.
"Careful what you say about the president, Kakucho." Sanzu warned, glaring at him dangerously.
It took your hand on his for him to calm down, eyes now directed at your concerned form. "No need to get so worked up, Haru."
"Sorry," he apologized gruffly, taking another sip of his drink.
"None taken," Kakucho shrugged, not at all fazed by Sanzu's threat.
"I'm gonna go get a drink-" you moved to stand but you were stopped abruptly when Sanzu grabbed your hand, pulling you back beside him.
"Don't bother, just call them here," he said.
"But-"
"You're a Haitani aren't you? Stop being a pushover and just have them come here."
You grew annoyed at his statement, you weren't a pushover. Just as you were about to prove him wrong, he snapped his fingers and gestured toward you with his head. Suddenly a drink was placed in front of you.
"That's how it's done, princess."
"The only princess around here is you, Princess Peach," you scoffed, taking the drink and downing it in one go.
"Woah there, hot shot, slow down," Kakucho said, surprised at how quickly you downed the alcohol. "The drink is going nowhere, what's the rush?"
"Get me another glass, Haru." You ordered.
He smirked, obliging as he called over a server to give you another drink. "Don't worry about the aftermath, princess. I'll take care of you."
"Stop calling me princess you lunatic," you rolled your eyes as Kakucho chuckled.
"I need a drink," Koko appeared, sliding next to Kakucho as your eyes went back to the dance floor where your brothers were having the time of their life.
"Look at em go!" You laughed watching as they danced their lives away.
You froze when you spotted Inui in the crowd with a couple of his friends, but they weren't just anybody, they were members of Hanagaki's unnamed gang.
"Not good," you mumbled and Sanzu looked at you before following your gaze, a smirk formed on his lips as his arm around you tightened.
"Oh~ shall we play with them Y/N? That ought to send a message to their pathetic bunch," he suggested eerily.
You shook your head. "Not tonight. We came here to have fun and if you cause any ruckus with them here, know that you may be my vice president but you're in my territory, Sanzu." You threatened.
He raised his arms up in mock surrender, "Alright, I won't do anything."
"Good, then you understand," you said, looking back towards their group as Sanzu returned his arm over your shoulder. "I'm gonna go over there."
"What?! But you just said not to cause a ruckus!" Sanzu exclaimed.
You rolled your eyes. "I'm not causing them any trouble, I'm just going over there to say hi to a friend."
"If you say so." There was a hint of doubt in his voice but he let you go anyway as Rindo and Ran returned to your table with Ran sitting next to Koko and Rindo taking your place with Sanzu.
You approached their table, the first person your eyes landed on were Inui, followed by Mitsuya, and a couple of others you didn't really know. When you reached their table they all looked at you and Mitsuya's face flashed with recognition.
"Y/N! It's so nice to see you again," he greeted you, standing up and giving you a quick hug.
You pat his back, returning the hug. "It's great to see you too Mitsuya, I just wanted to say hi."
"Why don't you sit down with us for a bit, I'll introduce you to the rest," he said, pulling you to sit down beside him and from the other end of the club, Sanzu watched with jealousy lingering in his stomach.
It was awkward for you since you sat across Inui, it took you actually sitting in front of him to recall your last conversation, and it didn't exactly end on a good note.
"Inupi..." you mumbled.
"It's nice to meet you, Y/N." He cut you off, stretching out his hand for you to shake and you couldn't help but feel hurt.
"Inupi-"
"Aren't you gonna shake my hand?" He asked, tilting his head with a fake smile.
Mitsuya sensed something was up between you two, but he said nothing. You sighed, reaching over and shaking his hand, squeezing extra hard as he winced, pulling his hand back instantly.
Two can play that game.
If he was gonna be an asshole, you could double back at him with no hesitation. This isn't the same precious Inui you had in your first life, but you knew you could easily bring him back.
"Well, let me introduce you to the rest," Mitsuya broke the stare off between the two of you and gestured to the rest, introducing them one by one.
