-The next morning-

Betty's pov:

I woke up to Harper crying in the middle of the night. I was half asleep as I fed her then rocked her back to sleep, I changed her diaper, I walked her around. Nothing worked until it was sunrise, I brought her over to the window and rocked her for a little while then she eventually fell asleep. I put her back in her bed and fell right back asleep myself just to be woken up 3 hours later to nurses coming and checking Harper and I.

They said that everything was okay with Harper and I and we would be able to go home today as long as I limited the walking so I could heal. Thankfully Jughead was going to be here in a few minutes so he could bring me to my new home.

To be honest I'm kind of nervous to be living at the bar, although it's really going to be helping me out a lot. I'm still really nervous. Maybe if I can make enough money I can get out of this town, something I've wanted to do ever since I was 10.

J-"Okay, who is ready to go home?"

Jughead snapped me out of my thoughts by bringing in a wheelchair with a black and pink Minnie Mouse car seat.

B-"I am" (smiles)

J-"Good, because my car is waiting for us"

I chuckled while Jughead helped me up and I walked over to Harper and made sure that she would be warm enough. Since it was winter I had to put an extra layer on her.

B-"Okay, we're ready"

He brought the car seat over and I strapped Harper into it before Jughead scooped me up in the wheelchair. He had a nurse come so she could wheel me down to the car while Jughead carried the car seat.

Once we got down to the car Jughead helped me into the back seat then went over to the back and buckled the car seat in before coming back around to the drivers seat. I buckled myself in and made sure that Harper was secure before giving Jughead the okay to drive away.

As we arrived at the bar I started to get really nervous, my leg was bouncing up and down while I fidgeted with my fingers.

J-"Don't worry, there's nothing to be nervous about"

He gave me an encouraging smile before helping me out then going over to Harper and getting her out. We both walked to the doors before he looked at me for confirmation, I nodded and he opened the door then we both walked in.

All eyes were on us as we walked in. Their eyes widened when they saw Harper, her eyes were opened and big, while she sucked on her pacifier.

Jughead brought her over to one of the sofa's and set her down next to it then stood up and faced everybody.

J-"Attention everyone! I wanted to introduce you to Betty Smith, and her daughter, Harper. Betty will be the new bartender here, and she will be staying here in one of the rooms upstairs. You will treat her with respect, and if I find out that even one of you disrespected her, you will be escorted out"

My cheeks turned red as everyone's eyes landed on me. Jughead got down and picked up Harper then brought me over to the bar.

J-"Betty, this is Toni Topaz, our head bartender"

I looked over to the girl behind the bar, she was really pretty. She stuck out her hand and I took it then shook it.

T-"Nice to meet you"

B-"You too"

We then walked over to the other side of the bar where 2 guys sat with beers in their hands.

J-"This is Sweetpea and Fangs Fogarty"

B-"Nice to meet you"

I shook both of theirs hands. Jughead then introduced me to a few more people before he brought me upstairs and into a hallway then opened the door and showed me my room.
