-The next morning-
I woke up in Jug's arms. I felt warm, and safe. But the guilt still made me sick to my stomach.
J-"Betts, baby what are you thinking about?"
I turned to him and locked out lips then pulling away and smiling.
B-"Just us"
J-(smiles)"I'm so happy that I finally have you, here, in my arms"
B-"Me too"
We then heard the door open the Toni walked in with Harper on her hip.
T-"Oh my god!"
J-"Toni!"
T-"Sorry! But Harper was crying early this morning and I took her to my room then she was asking for you guys"
J-"Well can we at least get dressed!"
T-"Yeah! I'll keep her in my room while you guys get dressed" (laughs)
As she closed the door Jug rolled his eyes while I giggled.
J-"I love your giggle"
B-"Thanks" (smiles)
H-"Mama! Dada!"
We heard Harper say through the door as she banged on it.
J-"I think our daughter wants us" (chuckles)
I chuckled while getting up and throwing on one of his shirts then opening the door and taking my daughter out of Toni's arms then walking back to the bed and climbed back under the covers next to Jug.
H-"Dada!"
J-"Hi baby girl"
She jumped from my arms and over to Jug's chest and laid her head down.
B-"You're such a good dad" (smiles)
J-"Thanks, I never thought I was gonna be a good father, but she made me believe that I am a good one"
B-"You could never be a bad father"
He smiled at me then wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.
J-"We're a real family now"
B-"Yeah..."
My stomach turned...the feeling of guilt running through, I just had to keep telling myself, it was all for Harper, to protect her.
