A note Veronica found on her bed was the only thing that gave her even a little bit of closure
Dear Veronica,
I am writing you this letter so you know what is behind my sudden disappearance. I have decided that I am moving to New York. I think it would be a better place to raise Harper and the new baby that I am carrying. Now, this has nothing to do with you, you did nothing wrong. You have been an amazing friend and I send all happiness your way. You're doing an amazing job as a mother and I couldn't have thanked you more for these past couple of months.Thank you again for your kindness, I wish you nothing but the best.
-Betty
Veronica was obviously very sad that her best friend had left all of a sudden without saying a real goodbye. But she knew that she couldn't do anything about it. Yet little did she know...Betty was not the one to write that letter.
-A couple of days later-
Betty's pov:
B-"I'm sorry baby, mommy doesn't have any more food, we'll have to wait until the morning"
I brushed my hand through Harper's hair as she sniffled.
H-"But mommy I'm hungry"
B-"I know baby, I'm sorry"
?-"Here, take mine"
I looked over to see a man in the cell next to mine, he looked like he hadn't shaved in days and he was about in his late forties. He reached out from his cell and handed over a loaf of bread.
B-"Oh, thank you for the offer but we can wait until morning"
?-"No please, you need it more then me"
I reached out and took it.
B-"Thank you"
I smiled back at him before breaking off a piece and handing it to Harper as she gulped it down.
?-"I'm Fp Jones,"
My head shot up and I looked over at him with wide eyes. As I looked more at him I had realized, it was him, it was Jughead's father that he thought had been killed.
