All a lie part 44

B-"Listen, Jug, I'm really sorry-"

J-"No Betty, don't do that-"

B-"Jug just shut up and listen"

I looked down at the sleeping baby in my arms before looking back up at him.

B-"This was all my fault. I told myself it was just to protect Harper but it out her in more danger. I was being so selfish. I have realized over the past couple of months that...I was really just trying to push my feelings for you down into a deep hole. But that wasn't right, I hurt you, and I will forever blame myself for that. But, when I say this right now, I mean it. I love you, Jughead, I always have since the day you helped me when I was in labor, and I always will until the day I die" (tears)

Tears started to form in my eyes and I avoided eye contact with him.

B-(sniffles)"And I never meant to hurt you. You, Harper, and Ethan are the best things that could have ever happened to me, I probably wouldn't even be alive without you. I wouldn't have a family if it weren't for you, and I love you so much for that. And for so many other reasons, I love you so much" (sobs)

By now, I was full on sobbing and Jug had climbed into my bed next to me and pulled me into his chest while kissing my head.

J-"Shhh, shhh, please don't cry. I hate it when you cry. I love you so much, so much more then you could ever imagine. I love that you gave me my own family, I love that you never gave up, I love how you went through so much just to protect your family, and I love you, I just love you for you. You're so amazing, you went through this whole pregnancy by yourself, and I hate myself for letting you go through that by yourself, I hate I never gave you time to explain. But I am so damn lucky that I found you again, and you gave me a son, and a daughter, and you. I got what I have always wanted in life, happiness, someone who loved me for real...and I finally got it. And I love you, Betty Smith, I love you so damn much"

His eyes had become glossy as he leaned in and kissed me passionately.

B-"I love you too, so much"

Our kiss didn't break until we heard Ethan start to fuss and we pulled away and looked down at him.

J-"This brings back memories"

B-(giggles)"It sure does"

I held him in one arm while I got my breast out with the other. Ethan then latched on to my nipple and I smiled before looking at Jug who had his stare on my breast.

B-"Like what you see, Jones?" (smirks)

J-"I love it"

He leaned in and kissed me softly.

-A couple of days later-

Ethan and I had just gotten discharged from the hospital and we were just getting in Jug's car to go home. It was just like when we took Harper home from the hospital, but instead of Harper it was Ethan. And of course just like last time, Jug was being very careful, he went so slow on the ride home that all the beeping of cars woke Ethan up.

B-"Damn it Jug! Drive fucking faster"

J-"I'm sorry!"

I soothed Ethan down a little bit and soon we pulled into the bar and Jug helped me out before grabbing the car seat out and we walked inside.

All-"Surprise!"

They all jumped out and I looked up at the big banner that said "Welcome Home Ethan!"

B-"Aw, you guys didn't have to do this"

T-"Yes we did. Now give me my nephew, I haven't seen him in 2 days"

Jug let out a small snicker before setting the car seat down and immediately Toni took Ethan out and held him in her arms.

T-"He's so cute! Just like when you brought Harper home from the hospital, I'm getting baby fever!"

B-"Have you and Cheryl talked about having a baby?"

T-"Whoa whoa, slow down there. I'm all set being an aunty right now"

B-(chuckles)"Well, I'm going to go heat his bottle up, I'll be right back"

I walked over to the microwave and started to heat the bottle up when I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me close to a chest. I turned around and Jug planted a soft kiss on my lips.

J-"I wanted to say thank you again" (smiles)

B-(giggles)"For what?"

J-"For carrying my baby, and being the best girlfriend and mother ever"

B-(blushes)"I love you"

J-"I love you more"

B-"Not possible"

J-"Oh I think it is"

He smirked at me before pulling me into another kiss until I pulled away when the microwave start to beep.

B-"Oh, I forgot, what are we going to do about Ethan? He can't sleep in the car seat"

J-"Well, actually, when I heard that you were having my baby I text Toni and the rest to bring Harp's old crib up and put it in our room, and to go out and buy some stuff. So, a little heads up, half of our room is taken up by baby stuff"

B-(giggles)"It's okay, as long as our two babies are happy"

He smiled again and pulled me back into another kiss.

I was finally happy with my family again.
