Chapter Nineteen
Don't Let Go
His eyes widened at the sight before him.
"Help me Azu." Delilah pleaded.
He ran to her side and looked at Johnny before looking back at Delilah.
"I don't know if there is much we can do for him. He's badly wounded." he stated,
"We have to help him. I won't let him die." she shouted.
She knew that he was badly wounded and he was in pain but she wasn't prepared to let him die not now.
The walk back to the village was quiet as Leon followed Ranfore towards the cottage, it wasn't long until he was pushed into the cottage and was dragged up the stairs into his own bedroom. He couldn't believe the sight before him, windows had been smashed and the bed had been knocked over so it was lying on its side. It looked as if there had been a robbery but he knew that it was Ranfore's doing due to his temper.
Suddenly he was pushed harshly against one of the walls and before he could say anything Ranfore ripped his shirt to shreds throwing him down on to the ground.
"You may be the master in the forest but you're nothing in here." Ranfore stated coldly before pulling out a set of silver handcuffs and placing them quickly on to Leon's wrists.
"I'm not a prisoner!" he shouted as he watched Ranfore walk towards the door.
"Well, you are now." and with that Ranfore slammed the door leaving him in pure darkness.
He heaved a small sigh of tiresome, his body couldn't escape but his thoughts could. They took him away to a place far away from where he was now. They led him straight back to her, Evelyn. Johnny was right he should have let Evelyn go earlier, but he was too stubborn to do so.
As he thought of her he wondered if things would have been different would he still have fallen for her the way he had. If he wasn't a murderer would she still love him? If they had met in a different manner would she have been less afraid of him? Many questions continued to circulate. He loved her and cared about the members of his pack. Maybe if he had listened more to Johnny, he would have been able to have done all the right things. For an example, he probably would have been able to prevent Johnny from being shot but he decided to pay more attention to Ranfore instead of noticing Liam aiming the gun at his best friend.
He closed his eyes as he started to feel weary.
The rain was gushing down outside Leon walked through the hallway and into the living room leaning his head against one of the windows watching the rain. He wanted to go outside and play but he couldn't because of the weather.
It wasn't long until he heard some footsteps walking towards the room that he was in.
"Is it raining again? Leon." he turned around to see his father standing in the doorway walking towards one of the chairs in the room His father was tall, lean and dirty fair. He sat down on the chair his eyes never leaving Leon's.
"It is papa." Leon replied.
"Come here give me a hug." he said holding his arms wide open for Leon.
Leon walked over towards his father and wrapped his arms around his neck while his father pulled him close embracing him warmly.
"It won't rain forever Leon." Leon closed his eyes for a few moments as his father ran his hands through his son's hair.
