PREFACE
So you're a bit sceptical, then are you? You don't believe in werewolves – you would mock and call them 'weird wolves' and think that funny. They don't exist, as far as you're concerned. Well, have your laugh, but just stop and think for a moment.........
Have you ever noticed how some people appear human but occasionally display animal characteristics? It can be something tiny, but all of a sudden, in a flash you're aware of it. There was a girl I knew in the tech and when she ate in the canteen I used to think of a squirrel or a ferret. She had very nimble fingers when handling her food, and when she opened her mouth, just sometimes with the shape of her mouth and especially her incisor teeth you could see the animal behind the human countenance. There are people with that docile, slightly submissive look who remind me of my chocolate Labrador Sam and then there's the guy I know who is always in MacDonald's when I go in – with his fat jowls, small eyes and huge appetite I sense the porcine similarity. The cheeky schoolboy with his simian grin who sits at the back of the class, misbehaving and laughing mutinously in front of the displeased and disgruntled teacher.
So how might you recognise a werewolf then? Well, how do you recognise a wolf? There is that slightly pale blue, almost white tinge in the eye colouring, or it can even be onto a chilling diamond blue. The corner of the eye can point downwards toward the nose. No, humans don't have fur, but sometimes in the human male the hair extending down over the cheeks in sideburns could be an indication. Of course when the werewolf smiles you can see the incisors just a little longer than the average human's and the sharpness of the teeth. When a werewolf is very cross there can be that slight crease or wrinkle that would remind you of a wolf's snarl.
In human form the werewolf will take on some of the nicest characteristics of people – kind, helpful, charming and generous to a fault. But when you cross them all of a sudden you might notice a sudden swing in their mood and shift in behaviour. They can snap at you, become very irritable, fall silent or seem to harbour a huge grudge. It can be then that they can change from their human form into their true animal nature. There are huge variations in the nature of werewolves just as there can be with people. This story is about a werewolf who kills without compunction or remorse, but who also exhibits a protective and even deeply amorous side to his nature. Why don't you read on and then tell me that you don't believe.......
