It had been two weeks, and when you thought things couldn't get worse, it did. I had caught up with the gang and their issues that went on while my own problems occured. And where did catching up lead me? Sitting in the passenger side of the Twinkie while JJ raced a place that held the gold Sarah and Ward Cameron. Apparently Ward was way worse than I thought. I squeaked when he pulled in front of it and the plane didn't stop, I looked up when John B jumped out, making me jump out as well. I looked to the gang seeing they weren't there anymore while a cop car approached us. It all happened in a flash, Peterkin was bleeding out and Rafe was holding a gun pointing it at John B Sarah and me, I walked from behind John B noticing Rafe hadn't noticed me, his eyes softened when he saw me. "Rafe."I whispered his eyes fixated on me, I tried to distract him while John B and Sarah tried helping the sheriff. "Why, Rafe?"I got closer to him "don't come near me."Rafe said "Rafe, put the gun down."Ward held his hand out trying to cover me Rafe let the anger get the best of him, John B jumped in front of Ward punching him, I pushed JB not knowing Rafe went to shoot him, instead, he shot me. I looked down at my bleeding stomach "Ruby."John B whispered holding his hand out to my stomach "JB, RJ, go!"Sarah screamed John B picked me up and ran while I groaned in pain, sobbing terrified of the thought he hit the baby. Our baby. My arms were wrapped around John B's neck while he stood next to a wall stopping his shirt covered in blood, my whole body and outfit covered in blood. I watched as JJ and Kie spun around, JJ running to me taking me from John B "hey, hey, Ruby? Do you hear me? Stay with me ok. Come on guys we gotta take her to a hospital."JJ cried Kie tossed him her car keys "really? You guys aren't coming with me to take our best friend to the hospital? Your real great friends guys."he got quiet
"What happened?"I asked sitting up squeezing my eyes shut in pain, JJ's head shot up at me smiling "Rafe shot you."he whispered not wanting anyone to really hear unsure if I wanted this to be reported a nurse came in "is my baby ok?"I asked a sad look flashed in her features "no, unfortunately the bullet hit right where the baby was, causing you to loose it. I'm sorry."she sighed I let out a sob JJ hugging me gently rubbing my head, leaving a soft kiss on it. "It's gonna be ok, ok?"he looked me in the eye, I nodded. I didn't even know the damn thing anyway, I shouldn't be wasting my tears on it when I have other things to cry about. "Look, when we get out of here we can go kill Rafe, that sound good?"he asked I nodded, I have nothing left to loose anyways, so why not.
"Hey, Ruby, your ok."John B smiled as JJ and I walked into his backyard ignoring them and going inside, JJ grabbed his gun and we walked out "woah, where are you going with that?"Kie asked "to kill Rafe Cameron."I took the gun from JJ cocking it smirking "woah, what?"Sarah asked standing up "that maniac killed my dad, he shot me, he killed our baby, he's done enough shit to me, he deserves to be punished in some way."I listed on my fingers letting them know I was pregnant "wait- you were pregnant?"Pope asked "I was gonna be an aunt?"Sarah smiled "yeah, you were Sarah, but your crazy brother had to shoot me and kill his own damn baby."I said "JJ, stay back and fill them in, I'm gonna go do this on my own. I'm a big girl."I whispered the last part hopping on my dad's bike I never took home, I sped to the Cameron's not caring about wearing a helmet. I pulled up to the house walking inside as it was unlocked I walked into the living room seeing wheezie "hey."I smiled shoving the gun into my back pocket, she run up to me hugging me. I felt a hand pull the gun out of my pocket "what's this? I don't feel comfortable with you hugging my sister carrying a illegal weapon."I turned around seeing Rafe holding the gun in the air, I slowly pushed wheezie behind me. "Rafe put the gun down."I whispered tears brimming my eyes "wheezie go to your arm."he dropped his head to her watching as she ran off scared of her brother, he looked back at me. I refused to look at him staring at the stairs wheezie ran up. "look at me!"he yelled causing me to jump and look at him "you should rot in prison your bastard."I whispered a tear rolling down my cheek "I was protecting my dad, which he appreciated, unlike you, Ruby."he said "I shot her for a good reason, she was gonna kill my dad."he added "well maybe she should have, cause than maybe you'd understand the pain of loosing your dad, only you'd feel it worse than me. Seeing you are a daddy's boy."I yelled his eyes flashed with anger, copying my own, hurt, broken, angry blue eyes. "You shot me, Rafe. I was considering coming back to you cause that's how much I loved you, I wanted to rekindle our relationship for our kid! But now I'm not, seeing there's no reason I should even be talking to you anymore."I yelled "our kid?"he choked "yeah, I was pregnant."I growled "was? I killed our baby?"he whispered I nodded "you killed our unborn baby."I whispered
