*JJ's pov*
"c'mon man stop, your hurting yourself more and more by thinking she's gonna come out alive and happy."Pope shook my shoulder before dropping his hand to his lap "yeah, look we all love her, but we can't sit around waiting for something that's not gonna happen."John B said "don't say that man."I gripped my hat even tighter staring down at the ring she gave me on my middle finger. "Trust me when I say this JJ, we all love her, just like Pope said. She's like a sister to us. We love her as much as you do."Kie tried grabbing my shoulder but I jerked away standing up "no you don't, you will never love her as much as I love her. Your never gonna look at her the way I look at her. She was the only person that understood my pain, my problems with my dad, drug use, alcohol use, she didn't care about all that stuff, you know why? Because she had the same problems unlike any of you. She loved me in a way, no one could ever love me. She loved me for who I was, she didn't try and change who I was, she just loved me more and more every times she learned one of my new problems. She saw me hit my dad, fight my dad, try to kill my dad, and all she did was love me more. Ruby was the love of my life, she still is, I'll never love anyone the way I love her. Ruby's my girl."I looked between each of them, staring at their guilty faces "my girl"I smiled before choking and breaking down, John B standing up and hugging me tightly. "It'll be ok man, we'll find her someday. I promise."He whispered in my ear.
I'm gonna get my girl back, no matter what the cost was.
*Rafes pov*
"is she okay doc?"I pushed myself off the wall when the doctor walked out of Ruby's room "she's got a minor concussion, moved some organs around, lost quite a lot of blood, but she's a real survivor, tried to convince her to let go but she refused. She's a strong girl you've got there. You can go see her if you'd like."he said before walking into my dad's room, I knocked on the door softly than walked in gently and slowly sitting on the edge of her bed, taking her hand in mine. "Hey, you doing okay?"I looked up at her "I think, I feel dizzy though, and your blurry."She smiled softly but sweetly. "Good, that's good. Your a real survivor you know that? You've survived so many things, my sweet, strong girl."I pushed some hair behind her ear "did they get out? Are they all ok? Is JJ alive?"she looked down at our hands "they all escaped, I don't know about JJ though, or if they're all alive. JJ wasn't moving on the boat when I saw them."I looked at our hands when she looked up at me, not being able to see the pain in her eyes "Can you text Sarah? Tell her I'm alive, ask her if JJ's alive?"she pleaded I nodded gulping "yeah, yeah I can. I'll go do that, you rest up, ok?"I stood up bending down and kissing her head, than walking out. I pulled my phone out of my pocket pressing Sarah's contact name.
Rafe- Hey, just wanted to text and tell you Ruby didn't make it. But her final words were asking if JJ's alive. Just thought you might want to know.
Sarah- ok thank you, yeah JJ did make it, I'll tell them she's gone. Bye Rafe.
*JJ's pov*
She's gone. The love of my life, my future wife, the girl who understood me like no other, the woman I wanted to mother my children. Gone, and I didn't even get to say goodbye. My girl was gone.
*Ruby's pov*
He's gone. The love of my life, my future husband, the boy who understood me like no other, the man I wanted to father my children. Gone, and I didn't even get to say goodbye. My boy was gone.
